Reviews on Jamaican food in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Province of Limon, Costa Rica. Only real-deal surfers should brave the torrid waters of Puerta Viejo de Talamanca, known both for their beauty and for their dangerously strong riptides. Surf’s especially up at Salsa Brava and Playa Cocles. Not to fear—the rest of you water bugs can enjoy snorkeling, kayaking and diving in the calmer waters of Cahuita or Manzanillo. Rent a mountain bike to coast to Manzanillo for a full, fun experience.

Small family owned restaurant in town. I don't thing there are any street addresses there.
Fantastic Gluten Free Caribbean Good! Showed them my GF food card and they suggested what I could and couldn't eat. I had the beef with onions - delicious! Rice, plantains, salad, YUMMY! Good large portions too! The plantains with guacomole were so good we ordered another.

Our lunch was excellent here at Soda Shekina! We ate the Chicken with Caribbean Sauce (about $7) and had the pineapple juice and watermelon juice. I loved the chicken and the Pineapple juice was unforgettable. Our friend gave us a taste of her dish, shrimp with coconut sauce (about $9). It was Amazing! I can't wait to return. Restaurant was located on the same block as grocery store and tattoo parlor.Soda means local restaurant so price was great for fabulous food! I recommend you have colones when going to Soda but lucky for us, Soda Shekina, accepted dollars.

Traditional lay back restaurant in the city center of Puerto Viejo. The place offers mostly traditional dishes and very good drinks. The place is mostly visited by locals living in Costa Rica. The dishes size are quite impressive. For example, I've order pollo en salsa caribbean. I had mostly half of the chicken.I would recommend the place to a group of friends travelling.
