We frequently order pizza to be delivered from Avanti. It is generally very good, but often arrives tepid. The thin crust is too thin; the standard crust is to thick. We make do, but would love to see the above issues addressed.

We took our son and his family to dinner at Terun. I started with the beet salad which was delicious...creamy goat cheese, red and golden beets, greens, and a light dressing. I ordered the ravioli which was filled with spinach and had a dollop of burrata cheese on the plate. Great meal but I could have used more than seven ravioli.

Full scale lunch menu, including lighter faire like salads and pizzas. i had the mussels and my lunch partner had salad. Both were very good. Although the mussels were slightly overcooked, the sauce was excellent. I recommend this restaurant and bet that it would be good for dinner too.

Always consistently good, this place is an area institution not to be missed. Their Lasagna, served only Wednesdays and Fridays ranks with the best. They have a stellar wine list and a huge variety of dishes, all of them great. Highly recommended as a staple in anyone's restaurant collection.

Love Lucia's! Have been getting pizza there, well, it seems like forever. No reason to go anywhere else. Will preface with- not crazy about their pineapple pizza, but then I don't like pineapple pizza...that said, the stromboli (meat lovers pizza) is the best I've ever had! (all of their combos are fabulous too, including the pesto) Their crust is also wonderful, unlike any other I've had. I especially love leftover Lucia's pizza at home. Warm it slowly on a griddle and the bottom gets crisp and brings leftover pizza to a whole new level! Everytime I return from traveling the first thing I want when I get home is Lucia's pizza...I think that's enough of a testimonial, don't you?!!!

Small diner style cafe, counter service (and takeout) with the best pizza I've ever had in Silicon Valley. It would be worth a drive from anywhere in SV. Genuine wood fired pizza. Lovely crust. Maybe a little over-filled depending on your taste. And really excellent simple high quality green salad. I'm from little Italy in Sydney and Pronto would be right at home in my home town. Expecting New York style pie? Forget it. This is the real thing.

I've taken students in my class here multiple times - at dinner it's probably necessary to have the private room or there's too much noise. Lunch is fairly quite in the main room. The family-style food is excellent for sharing and the large menu offers something for everything. Friendly service, quirky decor, relaxed and fun

Set in the heart of downtown Redwood City, Donato Enoteca offers true and honest contemporary Italian cuisine from Executive Chef Donato Scotti that changes weekly determined by the freshest available seasonal produce. Homemade pastas, wood-burning oven p
We chose Donato for our anniversary dinner, because it's more of a "special occasion" restaurant for us. We've been here several times over the last decade and knew that it wouldn't disappoint. The restaurant was already nearly full at 6:15 on a weeknight -probably some happy hour customers! My husband chose the calamari appetizer which was served on a large rectangular plate and could easily feed two. He wasn't able to finish all of the "Bianchi di spagna beans" which were huge and delicious. You could easily consider this dish an entree if you're looking for a lighter meal. I chose the Burrata appetizer, but it seems they substituted another vegetable for the delicata squash. It had interesting textures, but the overall flavor was quite bland. My entree was the branzino (sea bass) which was served on a bed of fresh tomato sauce and black rice; it was fresh and satisfying. My husband chose the giant 16 oz. rib eye, which for some reason is printed in a very tiny font on the menu. It is the only beef dish, and perhaps was added out of necessity based on prior customer feedback. I thought it was rather tough, but my husband devoured it (he doesn't get much beef at home...)We chose a nice sauvignon blanc from the fairly extensive menu of Italian wines. I found the wine list a bit difficult to navigate because all descriptions are in Italian. It would be nice if they grouped the wines by categories we're familiar with, such as chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, etc. We enjoyed the assortment of 4 small scoops of house made gelato for dessert - they're each creamy and delicious.Donato will definitely remain on our list of desirable local upscale restaurants. We spent ~$180 including tip.

This urbane and upscale pizza and Italian small-plates place is something the Peninsula has been waiting for. I'm usually a traditionalist when it comes to pizza toppings, but even their more unusual versions--sausage with honey!--work like a charm and ar
Had high expectations for this popular, upscale pizza place. Was very noisy and crowded mid week. Interesting pizzas with peaches and cherries. Wish the crust was crispy and they turned on the air conditioning on a hot day. Seems like California pizza places under cook their crusts. Good stop after visiting Stanford.
