Had dinner here last night with my son. It was nicely crowded with families having BYO dinners, seemed like a place locals know about and like. We had fried calamari which we big thought were very wellPrepared. They were balanced between crispy and soft enough and very flavorful. The sauce they came with was super good red tomato sauce. My son had the chicken piccata which was also prepared very well. Chicken was moist and flavorful. He didn't like the fact that the pasta didn't come on the piccata plate but came as a side with red sauce, but that's hardly a complaint. I tagged the pasta and it was nice and firm. The red sauce on the pasta was a tad bit flat for me, unlike the calamari or eggplant parm sauce.I had the eggplant parm. Sauce was very flavorful and nicely concentrated, eggplant was not mushy and lightly breaded. Great flavor and would order it again. The portions were fairly large and the prices are very reasonable interest opinion. Some of the other dishes we saw come out to other diners looked huge and very appetizing too. Dinner was $42 for both of us.These guys and gals know what they are doing and do it well!! Will definitely be back when we are in town next time!!

Buona has big sign on their front door referring to the time they won "Best Pizza in NJ" many years ago. We were like, "yeah right," but it is in fact the best pizza in Westfield. The sauce tastes like authentic NYC pizza which, for me, is the official test. The pastas and salads are pretty good to, but we go to Buona for the pizza. Relatively quick delivery times too!

Seated at 6:40,ordered at 7:00,served at 7:50. When I inquired about the delay the maitre d'/owner ? replied everything cooked to order, talk to your waiter. Hadn't seen him for 15 minutes. All the rest was good. Italian restaurant with wide range of salads, pasta, main dishes and full pizza menu. Large servings of very good food at modest prices. Many meals under $20. BYOB and they are happy to provide glasses, ice etc. If you forget your drinks there is a liquor store adjacent to the restaurant. Popular and crowed on weekends. Reservations essential. Only Am Ex cards accepted.

Although Gennaro's is not the closest pizzeria to our home, we frequently get pies from here because they that good! These guys seem to use better, higher quality ingredients than the other local guys. They've been in business for many, many years in the same location. Sit down service also available and while not fancy, they have some of the best Italian food in the Westfield area. Hands down!!!

Enjoyed dinner here for birthday celebration...Restaurant is small but comfortable and location in center of town with a parking lot located behind restaurant, made for easy access. Server was friendly and attentive to table. Dinner consisted of appetizers of eggplant rollatini, shimp in garlic sauce, Brie cheese and fruit platter and artichoke with garlic sauce..all delicious, crabcake appe was small sized for price.. For dinner we enjoyed the pork chop, steak, shrimp dinner ..But only issue would be the dessert and coffee prices ..abit pricey..$10.50 for A piece of tiramisu ..and a small portion at that..Cappuccino was good but at $5.95 a cup..pass on dessert/coffee.!!

Popped in one night and now I am hooked...the Bolognese is my favorite so I honestly can't speak to the other meals personally but my husband like the stuffed hot peppers. We were really squeezed into our table and honestly there were some parents not minding their kids very well so noise level was way more family friendly then we were in the mood for that night but the food made up for it.

Ok pizza, but not as good as Fiamma around the corner. One plus is being abkle to order by the slice. Popular with kids, so not quiet.

Westfield's best Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria. We are open 7 days a week for dine in, or take out.
We've been to Cosimo's twice this month and it continues to be a great destination for those who love good Italian cuisine. On the regular menu, the Veal Tango and Shrimp Teriyaki are standouts. Our friends who ordered them agreed. However, the daily specials are worth trying. Last week, I had the Sausage Lasagna; this week it was a Blue Waters special (Cajun dusted shrimp, salmon and monkfish). Both were excellent, both at dinner, and next day with the leftovers - portions are generous. Prices are quite reasonable for a downtown Westfield BYO. Highly recommended.

Ferraro's Restaurant has proudly been a family run business since 1969. Since that time Ferraro's has become a staple of the Westfield community. With the simple philosophy, "Fresh is Best", Ferraro's has become a Westfield landmark. By crafting dishes li
The proâs: Great location and nice ambiance The cons: We started with bread and the server brought oil with it. The oil was in a a glass bottle like a burger joint puts white vinegar in. You had to shake it 30 times to get enough on the plate. I asked for balsamic which didnât come in a bottle but in a small ramekin dish Which is a mess to poor (see pic). One would think the an Italian restaurant would have a proper pourer that server would place in a dish. The cheese sticks taste liked they can from Costco. My lasagna tasted like a family restaurant that doesnât specialize in Italian but has it on the menu. The sauce and noodles were terrible. My son had a margarita pizza that had no sauce and not the typical tomatoâs used in a margarita pizza. Instead it was like they took the same tomatoâs they use for their burgers and covers it over the pizza and just sprinkled a bag of shredded mozza on it. At Italian restaurant offering a Neapolitan pizza would use fresh sliced mozza. I would recommend skipping this place or ask what they are known for
