Great reviews on tripadvisor led me to Angelina's for take out pizza and wings. The wings were seriously over cooked and dry with almost no heat with 'medium spice'. The pizza was just OK. The reviews I read led me to believe Angelina's had great pizza and wings - seriously they were just average and nothing special. I'll keep looking for a better pizza shop.

We had Veal Parmasean and Meatball Sandwichâs that tasted bland and very dry.For 2 sandwiches it cost $31. No side dish included. Bought fries. The takeout styrofoam had the smell of cigarette smoke. I had to put Marinara and Mozzarella on both sandwiches. Never going back!

I recently moved back to Welland. We decided to try Rose City Pizza tonight. Never again. We are a family of 4, two adults, one teen, one kid. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms with 20 wings combo and a medium white pizza with chicken and artichoke hearts (of which there were 2). My call was placed at exactly 6:30 pm on a Saturday. Sure, it is a busy time and I was put on hold twice in the middle of ordering. Though slightly rude, the order was correct. What was horrifying was the quantity and price. We got 2 small pizza boxes, one container containing 18 wings, one small bag of celery and a dab of blue cheese. Total cost? $58.80! And it was 7:45 pm when delivered and stone cold! I have included photos because otherwise this just sounds insane. It is insane. $60 for 14 small pieces of pizza and 18 wings. My favorite part of the meal was reheating myself left overs because there wasn't enough food to feed my family. Large pizzas should be large, not 12". On the website they tell you the number of pieces, not the minuscule size. Needless to say, they will never get another dime from me. As you can see, I write a lot of reviews and this is the worst. This is mt home town and there will be no second chance. You think Luciano's and Valcano's has gotten pricey so you want to try something new? Skip this cold mess. The price written on the box was by them. Address and number blacked out by me.

We have been frequenting this place for a long time but have noticed very strong off putting smells in the hotel/betting area as well unless the regular staff are on the part-time servers are both lazy, non-attentive, and pour drinks subpar. We are very good patrons but as of late we are getting very disappointed with the caliber of both service and food. Needs an upgrade badly and freshened up menu and smell.

Had committed to bringing lunch with us to visit friends who leave nearby. Checked out Pizza Options in Welland and decided Luciano's was the best option for us due to its location and its good rating on TA. We ordered a Party Pizza and 2 lbs. of wings for pickup and were advised they would be 50 minutes. I had guessed it would take 20 so we ended up arriving early and having to wait. I liked that the guy kept checking on our pizza in the oven, it's not one of those where the pizza goes through on a conveyer belt. The fact that he checked so many times on it suggested to me that he really cared about the product they were putting out.Time came to pay and for a Party Size Pizza, 2 lbs. of wings and 4 dipping sauces it came to $53.10 taxes in. We get to where we are going and sat down to eat. I will say that it was excellent pizza, with a fair amount of toppings, perfectly done and very tasty. Unfortunately I felt that the wings were small in size and that there was nothing outstanding about them. I have to say that I really liked this pizza, I felt that it was a good quality product that they put out and can understand why it is rated so well on TA.

Had dinner here as a group of 8 last night and were very disappointed with our experience. We had a reservation, and they knew it was for a birthday. That alone should be reason to give a little extra in the service department but that was not the case. After we had all ordered and were awaiting our meals, someone mentioned that they thought they had seen in the newspaper that it was date night and that there was some sort of special....so we asked the waitress out of curiosity. She said "oh yeah...there's this other little menu for that, do you want to see it????? To which we replied....a little late now since we ordered 10 minutes ago, but sure we'll have a look for next time. She was VERY condescending and exclaimed that she could cancel our order....as a matter of fact she said it about 10 times after we'd already said no it was fine, as we did not want to cancel an order that was already placed and then wait longer for our meal. It was very disappointing that they advertise something but then don't bother to tell people about it when they are there. When our meals came there was a Caesar Salad that was very dry.....the person who ordered it said, not a problem I'll just ask for some extra dressing. The waitress overheard this and yelled from the other end of the table..."oh you want more dressing NO PROBLEM", again very condescending. Every word that came out of her mouth was horrible, I can honestly say, a person whom never complains about service anywhere, said she was the rudest waitress he'd had in a very long time. What made the whole experience even worse, was that the owner was there the whole time and never once came to any of the tables to see how things were. The food was very good.....so that was the saving grace for this place.I would like to apologize for the service you received. It is not the experience we want for any of our guests. I'm sorry but we were unaware it was a birthday celebration or we would have given a complimentary order of our Chocolate Frangelico Swirl Cheesecake. The server, whom never had a complaint in the 4 years here, will be spoken to and corrective action will be taken.I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the food and sad to hear about the service.

The service is always great. The restaurant is small - very cozy and quaint. The food is always freshly made and outstanding. My husband and I recently moved to Welland and wondered if there were any good restaurants and this one is outstanding. Matt, the chef and owner makes wonderful desserts. The pizza are wood fired, wow!! The attention to detail is wonderful. Love to sit by the wood burning pizza oven in the winter and watch the people come and go while we enjoy a wonderful salad, pizza and wine. PERFECT place. Our whole family loves this place. We haven't had a meal we didn't like. Dinners are always busy so book reservations.

We had great expectations for this restaurant after reading some rave reviews. Our service was excellent and the wine great. The complimentary olive bread was terrific. This is the best I can say unfortunately.The thin coating on my husbands calamari appetizer had a floury taste and the calamari was not sizzling hot. The fabulous dipping sauce could not save this dish. My Caesar salad did not have the baby lettuce as advertised but âgrandfatherâ lettuce that had dark rusty edges and was definitely not crisp. There was no anchovy or Parmesan cheese on the salad either. The dressing was garlicky but thin and watery. I tried, but could not eat this dish.We both ordered the shrimp linguine. What a disaster this was too. One large grilled shrimp adorned a pile of linguine in a tasteless thin white sauce. Not one herb, or anything else, such as onion or red peppers, in the sauce either. Two or three very thin slices of Parmesan were on top of everything.There were probably three other shrimp sliced in half surrounding the mess. We could not believe that this cost us $44 per plate. We will never return to this restaurant and would not recommend it. So disappointing for such a chef.My apologies that you did not have an excellent dining experience with us. I will be sure to share your feedback with the kitchen and hopefully we can provide you with a better dining experience in the future.
