Having come off I-95 in Walterboro, we looked at Trip Advisor for a quality establishment, and zeroed in on Carmineâs Trattoria. The reviews were very positive and as New Yorkers we are fond of good Italian food well prepared. Carmineâs didnât disappoint. I had the spaghetti Marinara and a side meatball, and my wife had linguine and clams in white sauce. Both sauces were delicious, with a ton of clams in the linguine, and a tasty proper meatball in my spaghetti. There was good bread and oil served with the side salads, and the meal was excellent.A special commendation goes to the staff at Carmineâs: Peter, the owners son; Nicole, the maitresse dâmaison; Naomi and Maurice, whose table service was efficient, friendly and timely. There were two large parties (one of 9, another of 20!!) scheduled when we reserved but the staff, and especially papa Giuseppe in the kitchen, handled the demand with exceptional skill, serving drinks and courses skillfully. So CALL AHEAD FOR SEATING!!This is the third instance of finding a gem establishment in an interstate-side town by researching on Trip Advisor. Weâve enjoyed them all, and the hard work by the owners, kitchens and front of house staffs deserve our support through these reviews.

A funeral brought us into Walterboro and a 12-year-old brought us to Castillos. :) We loved our food! Our dishes consisted of Hawaiian Pizza, Garlic Knots, Grilled Chicken Ceasar Salad, Tuna Wrap, Stromboli, and Grilled Chicken Wrap. The portions were generous and we all enjoyed our food very much. Our server was very pleasant (I'm sorry I didn't get her name!) but the food was long in coming. Our consolation for the wait was that we were all very happy with our meals.

We go here as often as we can, and we know we can count on the best service, the best food, and a great small town atmosphere. If you are traveling on I95 it well worth stopping in for dinner. It is only a couple of mile off the interstate but well worth it. Only one problem they are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
After traveling a good part of the day, didn't feel like going out to eat, got delivery from here. Service was fast food was good, we got a large 3 cheese calzone which was more than enough for two of us, also got an antipasto. Antipasto was okay, have had better, very little meat.Worked for us.
