Wonderful Italian Restaurant in the Hamlet of Montgomery New York
I am not sure who the person behind the register was, but upon entering the restaurant for our first time, the "gentleman" basically barked that the dining area is "in the back." The front of the shop has a few tables and chairs for the pizza, etc. and the back is where the more proper restaurant is.The services was surprisingly good. Though very young (maybe high-schoolers?), the waitstaff were very friendly and efficient. The meals we had were pretty good, with large portions (i.e. doggy bag). We ended the evening with an order of zeppoles, a HUGE plate loaded with hot, sugared, delicious fried dough. Once dinner was done and we went up front to pay, the same "gentleman" was cursing about the phones not working, picking up a ringing phone and then slamming it down. If it had not been for the great waitstaff, I would have rated Cascarino's lower due to the inappropriate behavior/ attitude of who the customers have to deal with.

The Cauldron has been serving the Hudson Valley region for over 30yrs as a Coletta Family business. We offer Home-made pasta, breads, soups & artesian pizza's!!! Daily specails avaiable & Hudson Valley's ONLY Oxygen Bar. On/off site catering avaiable.
Excellent food! The free Bruschetta is the best I ever had, so Fresh. The Mussel appetizer was wonderful could have made a meal of it, must dip the bread (which was also extremely good) in the broth. No complaints, Homemade Fettucine and Lasagne, chicken so tender. Want to try everything on the Menu. Even the wine was very good, it came from a tap, never experienced that before, the waitress said it is like opening a new bottle every time.

We once lived in the area and frequently went to 88 Charles Street for dinner. We haven't been there for about ten years and finally returned last evening to have dinner with friends. Very little has changed. The surroundings are still welcoming and cozy. The food is still as good as we remembered and the service remains excellent. I especially enjoyed the Ossso Bucco. We will make it a point to not let years pass before we return to enjoy dinner again.

Good times on an October Sunday afternoon at the Magnanini Winery are an annual event for my ski Club, the Enzian Ski Club of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. What a great place to meet your friends, have a wine tasting with sausages and cheese, be treated to great family style food with excellent service, and enjoy four hours of dancing to great domestic and European music by Mario Tacca. We look forward to this event every year, and are never disappointed with the overall experience.DG

I have frequented Carmela's on many occasions. It specializes in Italian cuisine but the menu is varied with veal, chicken, steak and fish entrees. I have never had a bad meal there. The food is well-seasoned and delicious. The atmosphere is warm and comforting. The owners and the wait staff keep the establishment clean and attractive. For the quantity, quality and price of its food, you just can't beat it. Also the owners and staff are very accommodating and make it a point to make sure you are satisfied with your meal....I highly recommend this restaurant.
We've eaten here numerous times and always have a great meal. The wings and pizza are always piping hot and delicious, and their pepperoni pizza roll-ups are phenomenal! Not to mention, the Italian Combo Sub is unforgettable. Friendly staff and cozy little joint.
Visited Guido's Restaurant recently. The pizza was average to good. Others we were with had other Italian food and enjoyed it. Service was excellent and could not be better!

I grew up eating pizza from here nearly every Friday night. The pizza is great and the owners are very friendly. I moved away 10 years ago and recently visited with my family. The pizza we got was slightly burned and even my children wouldn't eat it. This was my first bad experience at this pizza shop.

They have great pizza plus they deliver to us for lunch. I really have only had the pizza which has been consistently great each time I have had it. Others at work love their wraps and lunch specials. Lunch specials are reasonably priced. The management is pleasant and aim to please. Try it you will like it......
