We had the chance to eat at this new restaurant in Negombo, near the sea. The food was delicious, big portions and fairly priced. The staff is very friendly and the owner is very funny and helpful. Also the place is clean and the terrace is very nice.Definately worth a try!

This is a small restaurant where , when we called, the chef and his girlfriend were the only staff. I just asked him to make us something "light and good" What a great choice. He presented us with the most delicious fish dish I've ever had...anywhere. The only regret was the fact that we discovered this place on our last night in Sri Lanka so we could only make the one visit. If you're anywhere near get yourself along, you won't regret it.

I had both western and Sri Lankan meals at this lovely restaurant. It is part of the Terrace Green Spa Hotel. Unlike big hotel, breakfast is served individually - western breakfast includes fresh juice, cereal, fresh pastry basket, bacon, eggs cooked in many ways, tea and coffee (although coffee is instant). Sri Lankan breakfast, offers same juice, tea/coffee with an assortment of curries and coconut roti. Very generous servings. US$10Dinner Is varied, my choice was a prawn and vegetable dish. Again very generous serving - prawns are cooked whole, head, tail and shell delivered, so worth checking if you donât like the whole shebang! Choice of a white or red wine from Chile, not top end but decent enough, a few beer choices also.The service is warm and friendly, restaurant small (max 16) and impeccably clean.The kitchen is open, and you can engage with the chefs or just watch as they cook up your meals. Not a huge menu, but enough options to eat something different daily for a week or so. Opened for all day dining from 0700. We picked this restaurant on tripadvisor reviews but had quite a time working out what sort of food this place might serve. With a French name, Swiss owners, English and German menu we were very unsure of what ti expect.I ordered the chicken and egg soup - turned out to be Chinese chicken soup - delicious. Another of our group had the fried rice - excellent, another the mixed grill - huge plate of food with gravy and mashed potato on the side, also very good. The last person ordered the spaghetti with vegetables - that dish was probably the least appealing as there was enough spaghetti for 4 people and few vegetables.The place was empty when we arrived but gradually filled up over time. Service was typical Sri Lankan slow pace, but friendly and the meals a very pleasant surprise. If you are looking for something non Sri Lankan then this could be a good alternative.

This restaurant is definitely one of Sri Lanka's hidden treasures. I have dined here a number of times and each time my meal is cooked to perfection. Staff is exceptionally attentive and make every effort to ensure your every need is met. The ambience provides a wonderful feeling but is not over the top. On my last visit, as I was perusing the menu, I remarked to Roy, the owner/manager, that I feel like having fish. He recommended that he could prepare for me a fresh fish kebob. The attached photo shows the kebob of fresh tuna and swordfish served with seasonal vegetables - delicious !! If you would like something that is not on the menu, just ask; it is very likely that it can be prepared for you. Negombo is well known for its fresh fish. I highly recommend Prego if ever you are visiting Negombo.

Tastees is one of my Favorite restaurants in Negambo. I have visited this restaurant three times. Food was amazing. Prices are reasonable. Perfect location with outdoor seating and the beach view. Staff is very friendly. Great variety in the menu and the cocktails were delicious.Thank you so much noowaj for such a sweet recommendation. As regular customers say, Tastees is the favorite restaurant in their entire lives. Lots of people love to watch beautiful sunset at the evening and have some beer with couple of friends.Good place to make new friends and Thanks for mentioning about our friendly staff.We would love to see you soon again!
