The location is nice and warm with wide wooden tables, and colorful and spacious setting. Interesting appetizers (I took a tasty tartare) and tempting meat selections, very tender and with vegetables topping. I had a sort of small ravioli, kind of standard though. The desserts were definitely good. The price is reasonable (especially desserts, while appetizers are possibly on the high side) the service is friendly but timing was not perfect (all 4 courses are supposed to be on the table at the same time) and in general it could have been quicker (but it was Saturday, pretty busy day). To come back.

Great place. People who run the place are really friendly so cope well with visitors who have no idea how it all works. Owner recommended a classic ham sandwich âprosciutto crudoâ which was the best ham and mustard sandwich I have ever tasted. Two of those, three little beers and a pork wrapped in fried aubergine came to â¬16. Great atmosphere with staff, regulars and first time visitors. Everyone welcomed. Definitely worth seeking out.

" BRACERIE VENETE " a name that has the burden to bring in other countries the MADE IN VENETO . The main products are 0 km , from our territory , we select small wineries for wine and small breweries with limited production. Selected top quality meats, wi
This was a wonderful evening, a great ambience, superb cuis8ne, a mini filet mignon with foie gras to start, flambeed before your eyes, and the wine list is also great..recommend the cheese fused tagliata with bread rumbs, and donât miss their chantilly desserts. Highly recommended. Wonderful service too.

Typical Friulian dishes (especially meat and some vegetarian). Gluten-free certification. We are in the city centre, near Rossetti's theatre!
This restaurant are so quiet and non touristic area, pretty near from big theaters building and boulevard with many cultural ambiance. The cuisine is so authentic and delicious with hints of Austrian and South german food. We choose Papardele pasta with ragu and tomato sauce and it was excellent. We also try deer meat with Polenta and this one also tasty. The price is affordable and fair for that high quality food. The ambiance is very nice with friendly staff.

Either you enter by chance or you are taken there by someone who has been there before: the tiny entrance is barely visible on a busy street of the city centre. You enter, go down three steps, and you find a place much bigger than expected, and very pleasantly decorated. This family-run small restaurant offers great fresh seafood. In spite of the mouthwatering offer of nouvelle-cuisine type dishes, we chose simple well-known dishes because they are often a very good test of quality. Passed with full marks. And a very reasonable bill. Eric will see me again when I am back in town!

Last week we visited Castello d' Miramare in Trieste. We then started walking back to town and saw this Trattoria. After a friendly reception by the manager we were immediately seated. I ordered a grilled octopus dish that came with amazing potatoes, rocket and delicious tomatoes. The octopus was meaty and tender and the grilling spices used made for an unbelievable taste sensation. I don 't know what anyone else in our party had for lunch and I don't really care. All I want is some more of that octopus!

If you want to eat typical tuscan food in Trieste area, Al Toscano is THE place. It is located on a steep road connecting OpÄine and Trst. The easiest way to get there is going down from Obelisco, against all signs. Tuscan antipasti with sheep cheese, salamini, papa al pomodoro, florentine steak, risotto with asparagi... everything is excellent. And again, it's better to listen what the offer than to read the menue. Wine list includes some fine Supertuscans but also moderate priced Nobile and Brunello. Leave some place for chocolate cake or tuscan version of crema catalana. Thanks to Mr. Igor which he described with passion the food that we have served him.We hope to see you again the next time you will go from TriesteThanks to the all staff

How to destroy a reputation... We came for dinner with friends on the memories of the previous Bak location in Pesek. It is clear that now in Opicina we just have cheap clones of the old team. The traditional kindness disappeared, the quality of food is degraded, attention to customer's is totally unknown. Our filet was badly cooked despite precise instructions, when we claimed to Tom Oberdan in person he treated us like ignorant persons not accepting our points, despite a TOTALLY CARBONIZED filet clearly showing the incompetence of the cook. No apologies, no discount for the terrible experience, nothing at all, just an arrogant attitude. The bill was higher than the old place, needless to say... No prob, we'll go back to the previous place, may be the original team is still there to delight customers.... Clearly the move from the Slovenian border to Opicina made Bak a typical italian place but only for the bad points. In one word...you better stay out!

Busy place, smiling faces, good espresso, a wide choice of pastry and sandwiches. Nice place to stop for a break at all times of the day. And the people are friendly, kind and efficient. What else? Ah, the bill does not come as a surprise, fair and fine.
