Was recommended to eat here by our B&B owner who also told us to make sure we booked as it is small and usually very busy. Real old fashioned charming village pub with an italian menu comprising pizza and pasta and much more. Went for the "life changing" lasagne which was very nice and the wife had the sea bass which was served on a bed of tagiatelle also very good. Service is good and friendly staff made it a nice atmosphere for a pleasant evening.

We wanted to go somewhere nice in Ventnor on a Saturday evening and stumbled across Rex Restaurant. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table by our host. We saw there was a spare table outside and asked to move there which was no trouble at all the view of the beach from our table was excellent and really enhanced the experience. Our food was lovely, I had a pizza and my partner had a nice pasta dish, both cooked well and a generous portion size. The service was excellent and we chatted to who I assume were the owners who really made you feel at home and very welcome there.

The Met is about relaxation, quality tapas and fine drinks; bringing a little of the Mediterranean to the beach-front at Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. Enjoy a taste of our continental style hospitality outside in the sun on our paved seating area overlook
We visited this restaurant today and was not impressed at all. Waited for 45 minutes for our meal when the place was empty. what were they doing going shopping for the ingredients!! Service was awful and the table was dirty. Very expensive for what you get. We had visited last year and the service was better, has new owners taken over? Anywhere donât go there,itâs not worth it my husbands cream tea turned into a cheese scone which the waiter handled it without tongs!

For an unplanned opportunist lunch stop, Hello sailor could not have been a better choice.Without a doubt the nicest people we spoke to on our most recent trip to the island. The service was first class, the food was also lovely. Add to that the nice decor, ambience and sea views it's a real winner.
