Vejer de la Frontera is a Spanish hilltop town and municipality in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia, on the right bank of the river Barbate. The town of Vejer de la Frontera occupies a low hill overlooking the Straits of Gibraltar and surrounded by orchards and orange groves. It contains several ancient churches and convents, and the architecture of many of its houses recalls the period of Moorish rule, which lasted from 711 until the town was captured by Saint Ferdinand of Castile in 1248. Agriculture and fruit-farming are the chief industries; fighting bulls are also bred in the neighborhood and a running of the bulls is held annually.

Found this Pizza retaurant during our last visit to Vejer and wish we had discovered it before as its the best pizza in town. It has a lovely setting elevated above the main street into Vejer overlooking the countryside.There is outside and inside seating and the pizzas are made to order any combo you like. Cocktails are great we had the best ever margaritas and the owner was very helpful and a really fun character. The kids ( aged 9 and 3) liked as they could play on the terrace within eyesite of us. All in all a great venue for families with the best pizza and cocktails in town. Will definately be having a few evenings there when we visit next month.

Hier gibt es für jeden Geschmack etwas, und das auch noch relativ günstig. Schöne Plätze im Garten, auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf die Stadt Vejer oder auch drinnen. Das Restaurant hat einen eigenen Parkplatz, also kein Bedarf für das Parkticket auf dem öffentlichen Parkplatz davor.

This lovely little restaurant is part of the Hotel Sindhura but is open to non-residents. We ate there twice recently and loved the food. The first time we had baked aubergines with cheese which were fresh from their gardens followed by tube spaghetti with sea food and a beautiful and tender steak. The marscapone cheescake was outstanding! The second time we had the aubergines again as they were so delicious and the crispy Portobello mushrooms which came with an unusual and tasty dip. We then had the grilled chicken with sides of fresh vegetables and potatoes followed by the tiramisu-orange flavoured and divine. Everything was so fresh as most vegetables and fruit are home grown and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. You could eat outside or inside their wooden and glass covered terrace which was lovely as they could open all the doors and let the fresh night air in all lighted gently with Moroccan ceiling lights and candles on the table. The hosts and their helper Julia were available at any time. Well worth a visit.

We had a very nice pizza and salad the other night.. The restaurant was full of English riders who were here for the sunshine tour so it was a bit home from home! Very friendly people and excellent service.

We visit Vejer every year, and La Posta is the mandatory first restaurant visit. Best pizza this side of Italy, with plenty of other excellent dishes to complement it. The asparagus appetizer is killer, the carpaccios are spot on, and the salads are tasty. The back patio has a memorable ambiance. You can watch the (thin crust) pizzas being cooked in the brick oven. The owners are friendly and provide great service. Good wine and chupitos for after dinner. We talk about La Posta all year until our next visit!

We have eaten here so many times and never been other than delighted. Great pizza, superb pasta and if you want a real treat have a steak. Staff brilliant and amazing value for money - to drive by and not stop by for some food is a crime !!!!!

We were early, so we had a table on the roof terrace. What a fantastic view and so peaceful and quiet ! The waitress was very friendly. We got an appetizer from the house. We shared the starter, a Caesar salad accompanied with freshly baked pizza bread with garlic oil. The main courses were also excellent, vegeterian lasagne and tortellini. All this accompanied with a good bottle of red wine made it a perfect diner. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

The service was very good, lovely atmosphere, the quality of food was very good. Beautiful views. The pizzas are baked in stone oven which gave that extra nice taste.
