Went for dinner and had an excellent waiter Warren who was very professional and helpful. We started off with 2 salads delicious crab soup and Bufala e ProsciuttoBufala mozzarella, imported parma prosciutto and roasted sweet peppers. The beet salad was terrific and the Barbabietole salad -Tender baby spinach, red beets, goat cheese and crispy bacon in a light vinaigrette dressing was amazing. For entee I had the Capellini al Granchio,Jumbo lump crabmeat sauteed in a light white wine fresh tomato sauce. My wife had the Branzino al Forno Oven roasted whole Branzino marinated with fresh herbs served with grilled zucchini and grape tomatoes, also excellent and out friends shared a pasta dish. No room for desserts but the selection was impressive.

We were on the way home, hungry and saw this place so we stopped by. It was 9:15 pm so there were only 2 patrons inside. They close at 10 pm. we were going to get a pizza but decided to get the egg plant parmesan with pasta. It came out within 5 minutes in a large plate. The egg plant portion was large but not enough pasta. The sauce was a little bit on the sour side but eatable. We noticed that most ordered pizza which we will try if ever in this area.

Good overlooked upscale pizza takeout in Cockeysville. Specialty pizza especially good. Shrimp lemoncello pizza especially unique. Great service. Prices within reasonable range, though higher than nearby Dominicâs, another worthy excellent option. On Mondayâs thereâs a promo to add a large regular for $3 extra making the carry out cost more competitive.

Bertucci's restaurants are firing-up brick ovens from New England to Virginia, each reflecting the distinct character and local charm of its community. Like the original Bertucci's, every kitchen is open, making our brick oven part of the restaurant exper

Fazzini's Taverna specializes in homemade pastas, breads, sauces and meatballs... ...And authentic, wood-fire-oven Neapolitan pizza. Yeah... We actually make everything ourselves, like in Italy. If you have not been to Fazzini's, we urge you to give us an
We had the best service but we had mediocre taste of food. My hubby and son had Braised Beef Short ribs with fettuccine. The sauce was and too sweet for their liking. (2 star) Shrimp Scampi was very creamy and wasn't what she expected (2 star). Finally grilled pork belly with risotto and butter nut. (2 star) Nothing could go wrong with the pork belly. However I barely tasted the ricotto the sweetness of the butternt with sugar was over powering. (3 star) Calamari with pepper was okay. (3 star). Bread was 4 star and good olive oil dipping sauce. Total I would give a 2.75 star.

My husband stopped into Pasta Mista in Timonium and brought home an Italian cold cut sub. A 9-inch sub was big enough for us to share. It was served on focaccia bread loaded with Italian meats, cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, oil and vinegar. It was so fresh and delicious.

Come join us for a delectable experience at Carlo's Italian Bistro and enjoy authentic, mouth watering Italian cuisine. We take pride in serving top quality veal, chicken, seafood and shellfish specialties, along with salads, subs and sandwiches. With all
We went to Carlo's, for the first time, because it was centrally located for our widely-spaced group, and because it sounded like a nice/solid place. We were not disappointed. The exterior, in a small, otherwise unremarkable mall on York Road in Cockeysville, is unpreposessing, to say the least, but the moment you step inside, that all changes. The attractive interior, with balconies, dark wood, nicely spaced tables, and proper table cloths and appointments made us feel at home immediately. As did the greeter and server. Debbie, bless her heart, obviously loves her job, and is very good at it. We were in her capable hands for the duration. We immediately asked for less a/c (it was cold outside and inside), and she immediately dialed it up warmer. That kind of instant response is always a good sign.First, and very importantly, Carlo's is not a loud restaurant. You can actually talk to your tablemates, even with a relatively large table for 8, such as we had. I can't actually say if they had a sound track or not, because it didn't intrude, one way or the other. The menu is both typical and wide ranging. From our reading, we felt that we could trust anything on it, and this defihnitely turned out to be our experience, as well, with three generations ordering. It's a bit unique in that they serve beer and wine but also permit BYOB with a reasonable $5 corkage fee. We got a bottle of their Prosecco that was opened expertly before us, quite acceptable in terms of price/quality, perfect for the occasion, and properly served on the table in a cooler. If you want craft beer, definitely BYO. They'll charge you the corkage fee for a 6 pack. Fair enough. I won't go into individual dishes because, based on our experience with eight diners, they're all properly prepared and served. I'll note that they did not arrive quickly, as Debbie let us know that they're all prepared to order -- not just the standard bucketfull slopped onto the plates -- and they will do custom orders, as you may like. We were in no hurry, and this was agreeable to us. A big plate of the antipasti to share for the table more than took care of our need to mange. The mains come with separate plates of pastas and salads. We were happy that Debbie was able to tell us that their Romaine comes from CA (not Yuma!), so we could safely eat the Caesar salad, which was quite nice. The bread is baked in house -- with a nice crust and a pillowy inside. Perfect. I love veal and was trying to figure out which of the six ways it is served to get when Debbie informed us that one of the Specials that day was a seventh way -- "Veal Chianti", with a deep wine sauce and sauted onions. Well, of course! It was a nice, thick chop, not the typical, pounded scallopini (which is fine), and it was delightful. The portions are generous, and we really had no room for desserts, so we got some cannoli to go. And they were quite good, later, when we could appreciate them. The take-homes were properly boxed and bagged without any fuss. Honestly, I would take away a half star for communication with the people who brought the plates out from the kitchen -- they had to be told who got what. Other than that, this place runs like a well-oiled machine. At the end, Debbie presented each lady at the table with a small flower in a pot. Very generous of her and very fitting. We all agreed that even though Carlo's is nowhere near where any of us live, we will definitely plan to go back and meet there again. Very well done, indeed.Thank you so much for deciding to spend Motherâs Day with us here at Carloâs and taking the time to leave this wonderfully in depth review! Itâs great hearing from our guests the aspects of our restaurants that they love and keep them coming back for more. That being said, Debbie and the rest of our team look forward to serving you again soon. See you then!

Authentic Italian
I love Il Basilico Trattoria Italiana (also known as Pasta Blitz to me). I am never disappointed when I eat at this restaurant. My favorite is Gnocchi Caprese...absolutely mouthwatering. The salads are fresh and plentiful. Their pizzas are delicious, too. If you are in Timonium and you want a meal like mama could prepare, try this place. You will not be sorry.

We went as a group of 5. We walked in to a mostly empty restaurant and was greeted by the hostess. She asked if we had a reservation and I looked into the dining room and said no. She advised that the empty tables were reserved but we could sit in the bar. A manager came out to see what was going on and did make some changes so we could be seated. The waiter was nice but the food took forever. It also was good but nothing special, especially for the price. Then he disappeared for over 20 minutes while we were waiting for our desert to be delivered. He apparently was pulled to work a party but they just forgot about us. Several of those empty tables were never used. We're truly sorry to hear that you felt slighted in your experience with us because of another party that was being held around the same time as your arrival. Our hostess asked if you had a reservation, despite an empty dining room, because we were expecting a group. She was doing her job, and we're glad that the manager was able to accommodate your party. As for the server disappearing close to the end of your time, we apologize. His attention was split between two places, but we never want you to feel second or "forgotten about". You certainly were not. We hope that you'll give us another shot. We know that your next visit will be a much better one. We truly thank you for your feedback.
