I picked this place for my birthday dinner because I had seen it advertised and felt a place we had never been would be fun. We are early diners so I was not surprised to find a sparse crowd, especially on a Monday nite. The menu offers many choices but everyone opted for steak. The very helpful girl that waited on us (Alex) let us know they would happily do split plates for my wife and me because we usually split entrees. The salads were quite good (mine with a dressing made in house) and the bread dipped in oil garnished with parmesan was excellent. My steak was good but not great and my wife's part was somewhat tough but had good flavor. My son's steak was partially cold and mostly flavorless. The garlic mashed potatoes, which we all had were a huge disappointment! They had only the slightest hint of garlic and were mostly cold. They did take my son's steak back in to finish cooking it but it still had little flavor. We were able to negotiate a desert for the table in trade for the potatoes (which we sent back) and the desert was excellent. We live on the west side of I-45 and the trip to the east side (where Johnny's is located) is a difficult one. So, in order for us to be motivated to return and pass by some excellent (and similarly priced) choices on the west side, we would all have needed to be overwhelmed; sadly, we were not. As I alluded to earlier, my overall evaluation would be simply average.Hello, my name is Trey Miller, Managing Director at Johnny's Italian Steakhouse. You decided to celebrate your Birthday with us and we are devastated to hear you had a less than stellar experience with us. First impressions are everything. We are known for our great food, great customer service and attention to detail in everything that we do and you did not experience that from us. We gave you a horrible first impression. We completely understand that our reputation is not something we should hide behind. So, if you'd like, email me directly at [email protected]. I'd like to discuss the matter further with you and see how we can make things right. If you give us the chance, we will definitely win you back. “We’re known for our exceptional attention to detail, and we regret that we missed the mark.”

Went here with clients on a Tuesday night. Amerigo's has been regarded as one of the best Italian restaurants in The Woodlands for sometime. As someone who has lived in Italy and knows a fair bit about Italian cuisine, Amerigo's really isn't not all that. The restaurant is located right on Grogan's Mill Road and is a standalone building tucked slightly off the street. The restaurant itself is large with a bar and ample sized dining room on the main floor and private rooms upstairs. I would have preferred to stay by Market St or Hughes Landing where the overall ambiance is better.Appetizers were fine. One of the plates we shared was the burrata which others felt was more like a mozzarella di bufala and not burrata (I agreed). As an entree, I had the fish special - mahi that was prepared in egg batter - it was flavorful but very dense. Dessert was good - we shared 3 among the table (including the bread pudding and flourless chocolate cake) and all were tasty. I'm told that they have a pastry chef who prepares all the desserts in house. Our server was very attentive and definitely earned his tip. Wine selections are ample but overpriced...very few value selections on their wine list nowadays. All in all, not a bad experience but I wouldn't come back here on my own.

It's not even Saturday and I showered and cleaned up ... and so is the Date Mobile. We arrived at Pallotta's Italian Grill around 5:10 pm and walking up toward their door, someone came out and greeted us ... nice touch. The Hostess greeted us and we requested a table along the wall because that's what my Wife prefers. Our Server is Symantha and she took our drink order ... a Bourbon & Diet Coke for my Wife and a Merlot for me. We already know what we want so Symantha also took our food order. My Wife is having Two Appetizers instead of ordering a Meal. She went with the 'La Chac La Bread' (La-Chay-Kla) Italian Flat Bread; Honey Sweet Dough, Basil Pasta, Crushed Black Pepper, Garlic, Marie Cheese & Mozzarella, Spicy Italian Sausage Crumbles, Oven Baked. Served with Oils & Spices ... and her 2nd ... 'Italian Lollipops'; Mini-Meatballs, Tomato Sauce, Pasta Picks, Ribboned with Pavia Sauce, served with Garlic Bread. She also said that she would share this with me ... I. Love. My. Wife. I am having their May Feature of the Month, 'Avocado Elote Chicken Pasta'; Spaghettini Pasta topped with an Avocado Alfredo Sauce, diced Grilled Chicken, Roasted Corn, Fresh Pico de Gallo and Cotija Cheese. With 'Creamy Tomato Basil Soup' (choice); Cream, Tomato, Basil Pasta, Chicken & Vegetable Broth, topped with Croutons and Marie Cheese. Shortly after we ordered Symantha brought over our drinks and a plate of Very Fresh Warm Bread Rolls with that Garlicky Soft Butter, my oh my ... this stuff is really good. My Wife and I toasted and I enjoyed the Bread with my Wine. She said her Bourbon & Diet Coke is really good. Soon my Creamy Tomato Basil Soup arrived and it always looks Delicious, and it was. This is the Best Soup In The World and dipping that Bread with that Soft Garlicky Butter in the Soup is a meal in itself ... and is Soooooo Goooood. When we arrived, Pallotta's had a decent number of tables filled but now it's starting to fill completely up ... lots of people here. Just as I finished my 'Best Soup In The World' Symantha brought out the Appetizers for my Wife and my 'Avocado Elote Chicken Pasta'. This is a Beautiful Mountain of a Masterpiece. It is Covered in Snow (actually, Cotija Cheese ... and a lot of it). This is also a lot of food. The 'Lollipops' and 'La Chac La' look Amazinglylicious .. and they are just that. We Love the La Chac La Bread. This is the Best Appetizer In The World and we get this every time we come here. It's like eating Square Pizzas filled with your Favorites and topped with Oils & Spices of Deliciousness. The Lollipops are Tastylicious Meatballs that melt in your mouth deliciousness accompanied with Two Bite Size Soft Garlic Bread all around the plate. The Presentation of Food at Pallotta's is Perfect. My Wife enjoyed the Appetizers and I did also ... we even had some left over and took them home for another day of Deliciousness. My 'A.E.C.P.' is one of the Most Delicious Plate of Tastyliciousness you could have. The Avocado Alfredo Sauce enhances all the Flavors in this Perfectlylicious Dish of Deliciousness. My Wife tried some and Loved it. It's one of the Best Dishes Ever and guess what. Phil Nicossa has no more left because I Loved this dish so much that I ate the rest of what they had in the Kitchen ... You cannot get this during the month of June because I ATE IT ALL UP ... YUP ... I DID because it's that good. Now, if you go there today, or tomorrow, and ask for the 'Avocado Elote Chicken Pasta' they WON'T HAVE ANY BECAUSE I ATE IT ALL. ......... Well, that was last night and maybe it can be made again, but that's up to Phil, but as far as I know ... THEY DON'T HAVE THIS ANYMORE BECAUSE I ATE IT ALL UP ... AND I'M NOT SORRY (just like Joey Tribbiani was in eating that dessert ... you can find this on line)I Love the Monthly Feature they have at Pallotta's. Just to let you know, they do have one for the month of June. Phil created the 'Shrimp ala Pallotta' and it also looks Amazinglylicious just as the 'Avocado Elote Chicken Pasta' which you cannot get in the month of June because I ATE IT ALL UP ... Maybe, just maybe Phil has more for you ... don't know. Anyway, when we finished eating all that we could, we took some home with us to enjoy another day ... and it will be just as good then as it was last night. Symantha did a great job with us and earned the Dollar-Bow-Tie Award. Phil Nicossa came over to our table just as we finished, my Wife gave him a Big Hug and we chatted for awhile. He explained how the 'A.E.C.P.' came about and what the new feature is for June ... and you can feel the passion he has for his dishes. This guy is Amazing and is one of the Busiest Kindest guys in the business. Love You Phil. It's always great seeing him.

For years, this has been a favorite restaurant of ours when visiting The Woodlands. It is a large, nicely decorated venue with outdoor seating adjacent to the end of the Waterway canal. We have had some favorite lunch and dinner dishes, with a northern Italian tilt, at this Brio. We were highly disappointed on our latest visit to find some of our favorite dishes ruined and nearly inedible, with recipe changes reportedly dictated by the new owners of the restaurant chain (FoodFirst Global Restaurants acquired Brio last year). Our waiter warned us that the once-delicious mushroom ravioli was now dry, nearly sauce-less, and very different. He volunteered to bring us much extra sauce, but the sauce was runny and had a poor taste. We tried a new “cheesecake” dessert, which was totally faux and doesn’t deserve being called a cheesecake. The tiramisu remained good, however. We came back for lunch and our experience was similar: the lasagne was not so good. The staff remains friendly and the seating is comfortable. Parking can be difficult in the busy mall, though valet parking is available.

We visited recently to celebrate a birthday. While we hadnt been in a long time, we decided to give it another try instead of going downtown. Overall not a great experience. Service was good. Atmosphere is better than other places in The Woodlands. Drinks and wine on point. The food is just unusual. While the overall menu is not expensive, $14 for sausage and peppers where there was maybe 1 sausage link was surprising. Wedge salad looked good. Grilled Red Snapper al limone was "swimming" in an odd tasting picatta sauce (very dark and thick and way too much of it) that I couldnt even see the fish. While the ravioli was ok, it too had way too much sauce as well as the Chicken al Limone. We'll keep looking for decent italian in North Houston. Thank you, Nancy, for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. While we are thrilled you enjoyed our service, atmosphere, and wine selection, we are so sorry to hear we missed the mark for you with our cuisine. Your comments in regards to your meals will be passed along to our staff. We are always looking for ways to improve. Thanks again for the review. We hope to get the chance to impress you in the future.
