Located in the lovely village of Rassa, exactly the grand stone house by the bridge, very easy to find. Not sure about if they operate weekdays but surely in the weekends; is necessary to reserve in advance (and is written everywhere), they don't admit walk-in clients. They offer a set menu (30.00) that varies according to the availability of the produce; the day we went we had: plate of salami cuts (yummy) and cheese-cream made with mascarpone and pomace brandy (grappa; kids loved it, just they shouldn't eat 'em all!); peppers on bagna cauda; risotto with saffron and blue cheese; polenta with braised beef and a stew made with minced donkey meat (tapulone); ice-cream with fig tart. Everything was good, polenta was OK but better versions had eaten in other places but still not that bad. As written, the all for 30.00 each person coffee included but not drinks like water or wine. Pampered service. If happen to be in this area or day-tripping, this is a good eatery with the plus of the views.

There was only Polenta. And we chose Polenta with meat. That was four small pieces of meat on a heap of potatoes. Really not very good.

I was here with friends from work taking a long weekend's skiing in Monte Rosa. I can only say what an interesting place and very nice people as hosts. The food was all local and and array of specialities. I am not a fan of pollenta but gave it a try and enjoyed the variety of local meats. Lovely old building surrounded by places and obviously a lot of history in the area. Sadly we visited at night so didn't get a chance to see the area that well. Would like to return during the day.

This is pretty little restaurant in the Sermenza valley. Excellent, friendly service and a small but interesting menu - although we didn't ask for it, an English translation was provided. Really good cooking and presentation. We liked our first lunch so much we went back again. A really enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

We had dinner here the first night and slightly pushed out the boat with an incredible bottle of paleo bolgheri 1997. It was so good we came back again the next night. The children had their veal Milanese which was excellent. I had the lamb the first night and the beef the second. The food was delicious and good value. The staff are lovely and we were looked after royally. You need to accept that the decor is old fashioned but I'm very happy with that, particularly when the food and wine was so good. We are here in the summer this time but will consider staying here for skiing next time. They have a family room which might suit us very well! Thank you for looking after us so well. Grazie Mille

Difficult to reach, nobody told us of the distance from the main road in spite of several phone calls. Not a sign to guide you, we kept climbing and climbing, and praying for not having any car coming down for the dirt track being so narrow. Once we reached the place, we found a charming village, although very isolated. A place for people who prefer to shut everything off when on vacation. The Ristoro was a highly disappointing experience. The choice of food almost not existing (either-or) although it makes sense considering they do not probably have a high number of visitors. It was the quality of the food that disappointed us. So poor we did not even finish what ordered. We have not tasted the meat (we had pasta, appetizers, veggies) that appeared to be their specialty. So this is an incomplete review of their very simple menu. On top of it, staff were in a bad mood (or simply rude?) and we felt we were of a nuisance. You may think that being in the middle of nowhere, people will go extra-mile in the kitchen and when waiting tables. It was not the case. Shame because the village itself deserves the trip. Carry your lunch-box pals!

Excellent restaurant with stand out service and a great range of dishes for lunch and dinner. I dined here for over a week and never got bored of the menu, as there was always a new selection of specials to choose from as well as a great range of deserts. My friend had her wedding here which was amazing, the perfect venue for a wedding with the chapel across from the hotel and all the guests getting to enjoy a wedding in the snow with some skiing thrown in.The service in the restaurant was outstanding, nothing was ever to much trouble, they were very accommodating for any changes to the menu and also great at recommending dishes. The wedding reception was catered for impeccably with canapés and champagne before we sat down to a dinner to die for! It was a stand out with guest asking for it again the next day. Highly recommend this restaurant whether it's for a lunch/evening dinner or for a wedding reception.
