The food was great (upfront we did not know what we would get, we just said give us something local for antipasta, primi and secondi). The atmosfeer was amazing, very local and simple but way better than other fancy restaurants and restauranta in hotels. Very nice hosts.

Would you like a tasty dinner with a view? Da Mimma is the answer if you are around Capo Vaticano. Superb Italian cuisine, good service and a fabulous view. The sunset over Stromboli will make you dream and plan to come back soon. Great job Da Mimma!!

Always packed in the evenings - with local holiday makers and locals. This place is the real deal: well cooked local food, prepared using fresh local ingredients, and served with a smile. We have holidayed down the road from La Notte a couple of times and we always eat here a few times. You can have a quiet relaxed lunch, or a lively fun evening meal. Book in the evenings as you will need to wait for a table otherwise. Their pizzas are epic, and their fish is all spankingly fresh and delicious. It is very reasonably priced and is the pick of the local restaurants. Highly recommended.

We were looking for somewhere to have fish and came across this restaurant, which seemed to have more variety than the other one nearby. They didnât have some items on the menu - a good sign I think - but this meant our choice was a little limited. The stuffed alici (anchovies) were delicious as was our fish. There were six of us and with three shared entrees, a fish main each, five shared âcontorniâ (sides, as the mains as usual donât come with anything) and two 1 liter jugs of the local white, the bill came to â¬175 - not too bad. The service was good (a non-World Cup night!}

It is located in a villa used as a restaurant , with views out of the ordinary , the chef mercury , great characters , is mistress of the kitchen used to be, where the high quality raw materials , are the masters . Dine Since Mercury is a beautiful experi
My boyfriend and I traveled throughout Italy for about 12 days before heading to Coccorino to meet up with some friends from home. The food we had throughout the various regions of Italy was mediocre at best. Our friends, who were raised in Coccorino, took us to Da Mercurio the first night we were there. WOW! Finally, we had the Italian food we came all the way from Chicago to eat! The atmosphere for this restaurant is exactly what how you imagine an Italian restaurant to be. It is an open air eating area that provides a nice evening breeze from the sea. Mercurio came from the kitchen (which you can see from the eating area) and greeted us as though he had known us forever. We felt very welcomed in his place, even though two of us didn't speak the language. I was wanting to try fried zucchini flowers since arriving in Italy but most of the places we went to didn't have them on the menu. Our friend told this to Mercurio and he brought us some on the house...they were amazing! Our friend ordered several dishes for us, each one better than the last. My overall favorite pasta dish of his was the spaghetti and clams...the fresh parsley on top finishes the dish off perfectly. This was the first meal my boyfriend and I were stuffed from eating! We didn't want to stop eating because everything was so good! Of course we ate here a couple more times during our stay. The second time we ate there, they were cooking pizza on the outdoor pizza oven. Anyone will be able to find a pizza that fits their taste. After having two bottles of wine, water, 3 appetizers, 2 pizzas, 2 pasta dishes, and dessert for 5 adults and 1 child, the bill was just over $100! Incredible prices for the quality of food you receive. Mercurio sat with us and gave us 2 shots of his homemade lemoncello...wow...that was potent and great! During the day, we would see Mercurio and his son at the beach and they would go out of their way to say hi to us and made us feel so welcomed during our stay there. Unlike the touristy parts of Italy, this area doesn't have restaurants on every corner. There is great signage to direct you to Mercurio's. If you are anywhere near Tropea, Coccorino, or any of the other small towns in southern Italy, this gold mine is a definite MUST! You will not be disappointed! Oh, and try to tartufo ice cream to finish off dinner!

It s a beautiful place with 3 friendly dogs (who stay outside), 3 donkeys, 3 horses, a bunch of geese, rabbits, chickens, vineyard, fruit orchard and vegetable garden. We went half hour before opening time for lunch. We were treated very nicely. Times have changed. They are now capable of handling huge crowd efficiently. It is 2019. We had about 60 other high school students and their half a dozen teachers dining with us yet we got our food on time. Fresh lemon water, a huge plate of antipasti with fish and salad (we do not eat meat), mussels in a fantastically rich and yummy tomato-cream-wine sauce, plate full of linguine with sea food, an even more delicious fish gratin including cover charge was 37 Euro for two of us. I would recommend this place to everyone. We are staying a in a beautiful Airbnb in Brattiro and the owners recommended this place to us. Plenty of parking s well.

The food was very delicious, we had a big plate of antipasti, different type of seafood, all was very fresh and well made. My partner had their special pasta he recommends it so much too, but you can choose anything, they won't let you down. Staff was friendly and 7 people left the restaurant with full belly and not empty vallet .

Due to restoration needs, the restaurant Donna Orsola just moved in the new location in Tropea, Via Carmine, 27/31.
I have been to Capo Vaticano about five times now, but unfortunately never knew about this restaurant. Great food, great atmosphere and good service. We are coming back this Friday again. The portions are not really big, but the quality is magnificent. The prices are really fair as well.So far the best place we discovered in the Capo Vaticano area.

Staying at a villa across the street, we went over one evening 'just to eat a bit'. We were overwhelmed! The best Italian food and hospitality ever!Our Italian language skills are not too good (to say the least); immediately one of the staff that seems to speak almost every European language was made our host for the evening.Than came the food. We are reasonably spoiled food-lovers; Agriturismo Seaview blew us away. SUPER delicious food, priced so low, beyond imagination!If you are somewhere in the area, you should definitely go over and enjoy!By the way; the view from the terrace is probably one of the best in Calabria

We were here for three times. Every visit we've ordered pizza... everytime it was very good, especially I would recommend a capricciosa. The staff is friendly, but what we did not like is a slow staff. It took 10minutes when they noticed you need something, then took ten minutes when you received a bill, then took 10minutes until you got money back.. when you get a bill, check the line "pane" - "bread" it costs 3euro, also when you did not order it and did not received it... every visit. I think that if we had not better cooking restaurant in nearby, we would not return...
