1st this tiny place is no-where near the address would have you think...it is located in Palazzone (between Fabro and Cetona on the Umbria border) on a road junction inside a newspaper shop, or so it would seem. There's lots of outside space for the children to play and families to eat and tables insdie by the wood fire, in the winter. Family owned and run, Mom & Dad make the pasta and pizza's, with a range to suit every palate and pocket although 4 of us shared 1 large starter, had 2 pasta's, 2 large crispy pizza's 1.5 ltrs wine and 2 beers & 2 desserts, 2 coffees and had change of 60 euro's! No fuss, no rush and friendly service throughout.

This restaurant came recommended to us and although the risotto with pumpkin and ginger was sensational, the overall impression left us in dubio. There were certainly highlights, but with a few minor changes it could have been a better experience as a whole. We felt that the dishes could have done with a bit more veg and the 7 courses came to quick as we were served our 7 dishes in the same time as the table next to us were served 4.

Bar Centrale offers great coffee, lovely ice cream and fabulous vies over the valley towards Trevinano and in the direetion of aquapendente. Yo can just sit on the patio and enjoy watching people walk by with a magnificient view in the background. Great spot for a coffee break, or for an ice cream (desert) on a hot summer's day..

The restaurant caters mostly to hotel guests (maybe the are on half board plans). The food presentation is very nice, The food was good but not outstanding. I had higher expectations given the price. The service was both slow and rushed at different times. The wine list is extensive and pricey and the staff tried hard to up sell. The restaurant was very busy mostly with Italian guests including large families with children.

This is a larger agriturismo with a very nice restaurant available to the public. We travelled here from our accommodation in Radicofani (about 20 minutes by car). The surroundings are beautiful at sunset with views across the hills. The food was delicious, and, although slightly more expensive than some of the local options, we felt it was well worth it for the authentic Tuscan experience.

The restaurant is a romantic place: it is situated on the square of the old town and there is a spectacular view of tuscany hills. The kitchen is local and genuine and we have a good tuscany wine list.Specialties of the house are tuscany ham, cheese and s
That's a bar (Centrale), a restaurant (Daniela), and wine and delicatessen shop in one. Daniela is actually the owner of these places + a hotel nearby. Maybe the restaurant is far from haute cuisine and some dishes will look like home cooking but the food is rather tasty and the staff (and Daniela herself) are very friendly. It is very easy to access from parking and is impossible to miss as it is on the main square and there is hardly anything else you can see. Our top score though goes to the shop! It is always open (together with the bar) and selection of wines and foods was just what we needed. Prices were also very adequate.

Don't let the the somewhat formal decor distract you. This is a restaurant where cooking is taking seriously without forgetting that Italian food is about strong flavors and basic ingredients. La Fontanella never disappoints, great pastas (best lasagna in the world), baccalá, wonderful meat. I wish that one day they will leave the modern building and would move to a more charming place in the old part of the village.

The Michelin star Heinz Beck Seasons at Ristorante Castello di Fighine is less than 15 minutes from the Fabro exit off the A1. The drive will not be a disappointment. Arriving in Fighine, one is met by the beautiful and imposing 11th century Castello di F
In short, fantastic staff, wonderful experience on castle grounds, reasonably priced, a must-do!We visited this gorgeous restaurant as a couple initially and loved it so much we returned with our young children. Fabio made both experiences absolutely wonderful. Opting for the tasting menu for our first visit, we were blown away by the intricate but wide array of magical textures put together by the amazing Antonio Strammiello. Even the bread board involved new tastes for us. They accommodated pregnancy related dietary needs beautifully and subtly. The atmosphere was just right - calm and ambient. As a family we opted for a la carte and were not disappointed. We were offered anything we wanted for our children, two of whom were happy with the a la carte choices and one who requested pici pasta with tomato sauce. We were pleasantly surprised that the children were welcome, and given that we think they are well behaved, were happy that the restaurant were so accommodating. Luckily we visited on a Tuesday evening when it wasnât too busy, and one diner did congratulate us on how good the children were! I must admit, I was worried that one may have a tantrum or voice their thoughts at any point but it must have been a full moon night as all three were wonderfully happy and calm! Top tip: either get a cab to the restaurant (which is located at castle), or if you do drive, be prepared for a complete dirt track with deer and porcupines! Also donât do what we did and miss the sign for parking (we tried driving down an extremely windy, narrow, in retrospect, dead end, only to have to reverse the whole way!) If in the area then this is a must! We loved it and would recommend and visit again without hesitation.

On our first night of our Tuscany adventure we wanted something a little special and the owner of our Villa recommended Chiostro Cennini - it did not disappoint! On arriving we were warmly greeted by Lucia and guided through the large wooden doors of the ancient town into a beautiful rustic courtyard filled with music and laughter. The first port of call, to meet her mother and father who has prepared snacks for all the dinner guests - it was wonderful! and set the tone for the rest of the evening. The food was excellent, the local wine was lovely and but it was the atmosphere that just grabbed you and pulled you in - it was a lovely, warm, welcoming, relaxing and oh so enjoyable. My only regret is that we did not get to return - a week in Sarteano is just not long enough!
