I looked fir recommendation of good restaurants an La Botte Pazza popped up. The food was fantastic as well as the service. I really recommend this one. We had not made reservations but we were at the restaurant when it opened and were lucky to get a table. Best dinner we ate in Italy and really really fantastic! So happy that we got a table. And - it was very cheap!!!!

Amazing find. From the beginning, the staff were extremely welcoming and chatted with us about the food we wanted. Ricotta ravioli was fantastic along with the antipasto (we weren't even sure what we ordered but they came out with a cheese and meat plate and a mixed veggies plate). Everything was tailored to our tastes and the staff continuously made sure everything was okay. I accidentally left my bag there and the staff ran to come find me to give it to me! Overall incredible and would definitely come again. Avoid the touristy restaurants and come here instead! Not too expensive either - was perfect for us as budget travelers (around 24-30 euros for the both of us)Grazie mille per averci recensiti e per aver apprezzato la nostra cucina e la nostra ospitalitÃ

Unassuming spot on the Lungomare seafront with a superb family team cooking authentic Amalfi dishes with fresh ingredients.Clean environment, outdoor and indoor seating , concise but characterful menu and a place that food lovers will appreciate .Away from the tourist traps of Salerno centre and a seconds walk from the sea .. highly recommended...My first review in months , had to shout about it ...

ONLY OUTSIDE LOCATION One of the oldest shop of Salerno's main streets. Here you can buy or have a degustation of a wide range of typical and national products, as Mozzarella and San Daniele Ham, or taste some Italian typical dishes as the Parmigiana of E
We had dinner 2 times in the salumeria during our stay in Salerno. As described in the other review the Salumeria from outside looks like a grocery store, with some simple table outside. But one should not hesitate to go in and ask for mix of ham , cheese , cooked vegetables and wine. The owners are very kind and will prepare you a table for a wonderful dinning experience. Foods and wines are excellent. We loved everything there, this is why we went back for a second time. Tips: do not hesitate to try cheese with honey and jam, so good. A little menu is available in English too.

It's always great when you find a gem while travelling and La Posteria is certainly the jewel in the crown. We are all 3 foodies, we are critical when it comes to dining out. This place certainly delivered. Delicious food, lovely hospitable service, and great ambience. They have a great selection of meats and cheeses, as well as hot dishes. Everything we ate was simply delicious. Owner-run restaurant so you're guaranteed a good time.

Popped here on the strength of previous Trip Advisor reviews and so glad we did as it became a highlight of our holiday in the region. Local food served with a passion that only can be done in Italy! Great selection, the aubergine was exceptional and the selection of cheeses, meats and accoutrements is not to be missed. Used our google translate to get across our thanks and were rewarded with a complimentary cherry liqueur, lovely lunch!

This tiny restaurant is a hefty walk from the city center. The decor makes you feel like you are dining in the owner's home. Enough English spoken to get the main point across, but not fluent. For example we asked if there were any specials other than what was on the menu and the answer was no, but when we saw what the table next to us ordered, it was apparent that there were specials written on a blackboard that we did not see at first, nor could we translate. This was partly our fault for not being more assertive in our request. Owner and staff are friendly and willing to go the extra mile. We had buratta (excellent) eggplant parmasean-delicious, and fish (good, not the best I had while in Italy). For dessert we had pannacotta-thick and creamy-A+ and the house special, also terrific. Dinner was washed down with a pitcher of house white wine. Plates and pitcher were pottery from Veitri Sul Mare, a town we visited the day before. Housemade lemoncello (the best I have had) and mandarincello topped off a wonderful evening.

L' Unico "drink & food" è ristorante e american bar! Ci troviamo nel cuore del centro storico di Salerno, sulla strada che porta alla cattedrale della nostra città e più precisamente in largo San Giorgio, un delizioso larghetto che si affaccia sull'omonim
A bit of a walk from the train station. The food was good but a bit on the pricier side. Iâd recommend it if you donât mind spending 15-20⬠per person on a simple dish.
