My daughter and I went shopping at Whole Foods & Trader Joe's today and stopped here afterwards for lunch. I had the Italian Wedding Soup with a salad. Best Italian Wedding Soup I've ever eaten. Salad was yummy too. My daughter had the Vegetarian omelette with fresh fruit and she loved it too. Those were the two healthiest things on the menu and were quite delicious. I'd definitely eat here again.

My wife decided to take myself and son in law for our birthdays. We made senseless reservations to be greeted by an empty vestibule and desolate resturant. She had prepurchased a Groupon for four people for a total of 95 dollars. Sounded like a great night out to try a new restaurant. It was hands down the worst restaurant experience we have had in many years. We ordered mussels and the moment they came to the table the smell coming from the dish was repulsive. We requested two new appetizers to replace them. The waiter acted as if we had no idea what we were talking about. Trust me they were rank. Upon arrival of the entrees brought by the disgruntled waiter, only 3 of the 4 entrees were delivered. One of those entrees were my 6 oz filet. It was so over cooked it was inedible after ordering it medium rare. So as polite patrons we decided to make the best of it and try to find positive aspects about the 2 meals we were actually served at this point. There was very little to compliment so we concentrated on the atmosphere which would be enjoyable except for the complete absence of other patrons. After waiting for 25 minutes of waiting for our entrees to return to the table we needed to track down our waiter to find out if my filet was going to return along with the other missing entree. We found an alternate waiter and he hollered back to the kitchen to see if there was a steak back there. Low and behold the other missing entree showed up with the reordered appetizers, but still no filet. While waiting for all of this to process I did receive my baked potato but of course with no butter or sour cream and literally no one to contact for at least 10 minutes to retrieve any. So I ate my potato as served for filler. My filet finally came from a different waiter 15 minutes after everyone at the table was finished . When I requested to speak with a manager I was told that one was not available and they would take my name and number and have him contact me. After 15 minutes of waiting for our original waiter to return with the bill we were just happy to be leaving there.1 No Hostess2 Dirty Silverware and dishes 3 Very Few Patrons 4 Rude Waitstaff 5 Inedible Appetizer6 No Waitstaff Available Ever7 Delivery of Entrees Inconsistent without Condiments 8 Overcooked Entree 9 No Soap in the Restroom 10 Highly Overpriced I will be surprised if this place is in business the next time I visit Rochester MI. They should be embarrassed to open the door to anyone!!!

I took my son and girlfriend to Pizza Hut on a Wednesday night for their Pizza and Pasta Buffet. This is the first time in at least 5 years I have been to this location. The buffet used to be very good. The closest thing I can describe it to now is that of being similar to eating the leftovers laying about the morning after a frat party.Imagine a few scraps of awkwardly cut cold pizza, that has dried-out on top. The single pasta pan was a mostly empty, with remnants of bland alfredo-ish sauce over dried-out spiral pasta. A poorly maintained salad bar was available, with minimal items to add, and of the few presented most the containers were empty. This might have been expected if we arrived at the last minute before closing. We arrived however at about 5:40 PM, and the restaurant was less than half full. There was a single server on the floor to seat people, take and serve orders of those not having the buffet, get drinks for those having the buffet, bus and clean tables, act as cashier for both restaurant patrons and take out customers. They needed at least two people on the floor. The server, who advised me it was his first day, said he knew other servers that complained they worked alone all the time. The management is obviously too cheap to staff properly. The buffet tables were poorly attended by the people cooking in the back. Upon arriving the pizza looked dried out, and there were mostly empty pie rounds. I asked if it would be freshened up and re-stocked and was assured by the server as we were seated that would be immediately done. It never was. We picked through what was available which was poorly made, crudely cut, and very poor quality food. Things that were to be hot were room temperature. Cold items on the salad bar were warm. This place is a food born illness in development. Many tables were not yet bussed long after patrons left, because the server was just too busy.Disgusted we decided to leave, chocking this up to “well, at least we are not starved anymore. . . “ but bummed because other Pizza Huts are soooo much better. We left hungry, opting for grilled cheese at home a couple hours later. How is it that customers can leave a buffet hungry???If you still end up eating here check your bill. One of us drank pop, the other two had water. They tried charging us $2.29 each for our waters! Pointing that error (?) out, it was corrected. Another table’s patrons approached the cashier while I waited to speak to a manager, complaining they were billed $2.29 for tap water as well.I felt compelled to voice my opinion to the manager. Soon a shorter Hispanic man, whose tag I think said Steve / Manager came to the register with a frown on his face. I told him about the lack of food on the buffet, the poor quality of what was out there, and how filthy the restaurant was. I asked him if he thought that was acceptable. He shrugged his shoulders. I then looked onto the order counter, which had a thick layer of dust upon it outside the area where a customer might lean. It obviously had not been cleaned in weeks, perhaps months. I wiped my hand across it, and raised it up to show the manager, asking “Do you think this is acceptable in a restaurant?” He shrugged again, turned back to the kitchen without apologizing. I saw at least three people working the kitchen area, so there should have been no problem keeping fresh food out on the buffet while filling the few orders for take-out that came in while we were there. What I have to wonder – if the place is so filthy where the customers can see, how bad must the kitchen be???

We went during the winter so the Rochester Lights were still up so all the bars and restaurants get very busy on the weekends. There was a large selection of wine which was expected with Wine being in the name. There was a great selection at affordable prices. It was a very fancy looking restaurant but not that expensive which is always a plus. Not very loud so lots of people hanging out for a long time talking and drinking wine/cocktails. They have huge menu so something for everyone. I recommend checking this place out!

Went for lunch. Service was great and the building is beautiful. We tried two dishes. The pizza was delightful fresh from the wood oven. The second dish was one of the best vegetable dishes I’ve ever eaten. Roasted carrots glazed with balsamic combined with goat cheese and roasted peanuts was incredible.

I met my cousins for lunch today. Spaghetti is 1/2 off on Weds. I ordered Tomato/Basil sauce with meatballs over spaghetti pasta & it was very delish. So good I ordered 2 more meals to take to some friends of mine. The garlic knots are delish and the 3 salads that my cousins ordered were fresh and of a generous portion. It’s not just pasta & pizza. The soup is homemade & the salads were devoured. Only I had leftovers.

Bologna Via Cucina

Reviewed By MsKimZ

Ordered the Antipasto Salad for $12 which the menu states it contains romaine lettuce, cured Italian meats, mozzarella cheese, tomato, red onion, olives, pepperoncini. Now $12 is a normal standard price for a salad anymore, so that's not the issue. The issue is with what was presented: A plate with ALOT of romaine lettuce, four or five slivers of meat so small they were barely recognizable as meat (and only one type, so menu listing Italian meats, plural, is false), maybe a tablespoon of mozzarella, three cherry tomato halves, five or six 1/4 inch slices of red onion, and three olives. I cannot speak for the pepperoncini as I had those omitted. So basically for $12 you will get a plate of romaine lettuce. This place should be ashamed of itself. You can do better at any other Italian restaurant than Bologna Via Cucina in Rochester. But of course, if you are not very hungry, and don't mind paying $12 for a plate of lettuce, go for it!

Haven't tried it since the name changed so I can't vouch for they have the same great pizza and beer offers. It's worth a try because I believe Towne Square pizza was located in downtown Rochester and moved to this location. If it's the same as the one downtown they'll have great stuff here too.
