My fatherâs dream has now transformed into more than he ever expected. Although much has changed, much remains the sameâ¦each day you can expect to see one of our faces, adding a personal touch to traditional Italian dining, creating an intimate experience
I'm always looking for restaurants staffed with creative chefs who think outside the box. The menu at Villaggio Iccara told me this was going to be one of those hoped for experiences. Items such as Spaghetti Positano (Sautéed manila clams, artichokes, sausage, Pinot Grigio & garlic sauce) under Pasta selections & Pistachio-Crusted Chicken Breast in a Dijon-Thyme cream sauce with Risotto offered a series of new taste treats. After due consideration, we opted for 2 forms of Bruschetta - one the standard w/ chopped tomato, garlic & basil & the 2nd w/ Caponata. Both were good, but I especially loved the piquant flavors of eggplant, & pickled veggies in the latter. My husband's dinner choice was Chicken Marsala w/ pasta which he declared a winner - its flavor actually tasting of its namesake wine, rather than just some commercial bouillon cube. I was hungry for seafood & ordered Cernia Marechiari (pan-fried grouper served in puttanesca sauce w/ pomodoro, capers & olives) served w/ risotto. I would have been happier had my risotto been delivered on a separate dish, because the texture & flavor were lovely by themselves & not really enhanced by the Puttanesca Sauce - but that was a minor complaint easily rectified. In the future, I'll simply ask for the risotto to be served separately. Overall, the dish was very good. The restaurant was busy the night of our visit - both in its dining room & its pizza takeout department. Highly recommend.

This restaurant has a large pizza counter with many different options that were easy on the eye. I found the restaurant section to have a significantly lower standard. Many of the pasta dishes have so much sauce that they are served in soup bowls. The bread is rather hard and tasteless. We were 15 people at the last sitting, and everyone had something different, and everyone said it was OK, but no one raved about the food.

They catered an affair for my Sis and I must say the food was great and received hot ,and in good order. Have eaten dinner and lunches many times and always very good. The service is always excellent.

Great Italian food...Whether you take out pizza or eat in, this place is worth a visit...I had the veal specialty dish, very good and decent portions...the price is reasonable too as our group of 6 ordered three appetizers to go along with our entre...the price was under $35 pp...overall, this restaurant offers excellent daily specials and great tomato pies...Finally a bit of NY bought to Hamilton!...only downside, the servers/busers appeared overwhelmed...our server had to be reminded more frequently than expected.

This is a great local Italian restaurant that we enjoy going to on a regular basis. The food tastes great and the prices are reasonable. We normally order take out and they are very quick in preparation. We've eaten at the restaurant as well, but the dining room has a very large ceiling. As it fills up on the weekend the acoustics can be bad and you can barely hear the person across from you. Hopefully they can look into fixing that somehow.

The freshness and quality of the food is top notch. Every appetizer and entree were prepared perfectly and arrived hot and delicious to our group. The fresh seafood is a plus. The mussels were plump and tender. The shrimp, scallops and red snapper were perfectly cooked. We had no room for dessert. Our server was attentive and pleasant. A great experience. We live in Ohio and were visiting the area. We will be back next time we are in town

In both my husband and my opinion, this is the best restaurant in the area. The Italian standards are delicious, but so are the specials, including filet mignon and a crab risotto when we recently visited. The food is always fresh, creatively prepared and beautifully plated. While I don't usually have room for dessert at the end of the night, I recently tried the apple bread pudding, which was one of the best desserts I have ever had anywhere. The only problem with this restaurant is that many people have discovered it; it is not uncommon to have to book a reservation for a weekend several weeks in advance, or dine before 5 or after 8.

We finally made it down from Bergen County and it was worth the ride! The pies are really very thin and crunchy. The tomato sauce is top notch and the toppings were excellent. The pepperoni and sausages were high quality. The salad was a good start. Very friendly wait staff. All good!!

This is one of the best in the United States. They make a pie that has hints of mustard in it and is so darn delicious. Their buffalo chicken cheesesteak is also great and they serve the freshest salads. Cash only at this historic restaurant. I highly recommend with family and friends.
