"L'Atelier Mimolette" is a newcomer at Ipanema's restaurant scene! On the first months after its opening, it was almost impossible to get a table! It is still not that easy and reservations are highly recommended. It is a cozy restaurant, with a charming décor that reminds you of a cherry trees garden. Service is attentive and friendly. It has not an extensive menu or wine list. So, it is easier to choose and to be helped. We chose "Chevre cheese salad", "Tuna tartare" and "Steak& frittes". For dessert, a mix of all desserts to be shared. Everything was absolutely delicious and we did enjoy our first visit to "L'Atelier Mimollete". Prices are just average to those practiced in similar restaurants in Rio de Janeiro. Only good reasons to come back! Bon Appétit!

The pizza at Domenica is really good, very light; you feel it's ingredients are fresh and quality ones. Service and prices are OK, they match with the product. But I have no explanation why this restaurant is the 2nd best in Rio. Even just for pizzas, places like Capricciosa, Mamma Jamma and Braz, just to mention a few, offer similar quality pizzas. In fact, I think that holding the status of 2nd best restaurant in Rio is a negative asset for Domenica, since it creates such an expectation that's difficult to be achieved. Excellent pizza, average service, average decoration, fair prices. That's what Domenica is.So, if you like pizza and are close to the Tijuca neighborhood, stop by Domenica and you won't regret. And leave your comments here, maybe those can help us better understand the mystery.

This restaurant is located in the Sheraton Rio Hotel which is my home-away-from-home when I travel to Rio. Per TripAdvisor, the hotel has two of the top rated restaurants in the city, Bene and LâEtoile. Gustavo was our server and is wonderful. We had pasta specifically, I had the Gnocchi but requested it with Alfredo sauce instead of the sauce listed on the menu. It was the best Gnocchi that Iâve had outside of Rome, Italy. Itâs a beautiful venue so come and enjoy and ask for Gustavo!Hello AJP,Thank you for your comment, It's a pleasure for us to be your home-away-from-home, we take the gastronomy seriously and we fulfill our commitment to offer authentic Italian cuisine.I will pass on your comments to the Bene team and look forward to welcoming you again soon!Greetings,Marina Lanes

The pizzeria is located on the street Capistrano de Abreu and the house used to belong to Capistrano de Abreu, himself. They did an excellent job with the restoration and decoration inside. The pizzas are excellent and reasonably priced.

After 5 years living in Rio only now I had the chance to try this restaurant and worth it. The food was marvelous and service very nice. The maitre, Mr Edson, was very kind and gave the right amount of attention to each customer. Very unusual to have this such level of service in this city. It was a very pleasant surprise the experience of having dinner with my wife in such cozy place.

The food especially the octopus starter was excellent. The staff were friendly and for Rio standards attentive. The restaurant lacked ambience but the food made up for this. Definitely would return.

We visited for lunch and despite not eating beef which was the main dish of the day the staff were more than accommodating and made us a vegetarian alternative which was excellent. They were on hand to give us anything we needed and you really do have the homely feeling here. All the staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was great and very relaxed. On top of this the food was delicious and we were offered more whenever we felt like it. All the staff were extremely enthusiastic about the project and I would definitely recommend going here.
We are a family business, where we sell articles for high gastronomy and world cuisine. We got coffee and sandwiches made to order. Pork loin and tender baked on Saturdays. A winery with 900 wine labels and still distilled. We are looking forward to a vis
This large delicatessen in the city has been expanding, now with larger premises fitting tables for snacks and tapas, as well as for tasting many of the wines sold in place. Many different products for cooking, grabing, cheese, meat, fish, seasonings, dried fruit and much else. Worth visiting.

"Casa Momus" brought a new concept for Rio's traditional bohemian Lapa Quarter! Awesome décor, mediterranean menu and great drinks. What else? Friendly service, cosmopolitan atmosphere and moderate prices. Sided by other famous restaurants in Lapa, as "Rio Scenarium" and "Mangue Seco", "Casa Momus" pretty much contributes to the revival of this important historical area of old downtown Rio. "Rua do Lavradio" is a pedestrian street very close to "Praça Tiradentes", so come by taxi and leave by taxi, always asking the driver to drop you as close as possible to your venue. Walking in downtown areas, principally in the evenings, at your very own risk. Just be careful, low profile and enjoy Rio's traditional Lapa Quarter. Bon Appétit!
