I love Donatos Pizza! The taste is very different than most places. I enjoy all of their crust combinations for their pizza's. Their subs are also delicious! I am a pizza lover, and Donato's is my favorite chain. You can dine in, have it delivered, or even drive through to pick it up!

A TUESDAY NIGHT IN MID DECEMBERTo tell the tale of Donato's Pizza, you have to tell two stories, one about the subs and salads, and another of their famous hometown Pizzas.Donato's was founded in Gahanna in 1963, but the company truly didn't hit it's stride until the early 1970s, when founder Jim Grote and Company expanded into the surrounding suburbs of Columbus. Among them was the Reynoldsburg Store on Brice Road..The dining area is complete - with a sitting area that is perpetually filled with teenagers during Football Friday Nights and has hosted hundreds, if not 1000s of birthday parties and casual group meetings in their party area in the basement. The dining area is a cozy-but-typical Pizza Parlor Layout. The oven hides behind the front counter. In this location, the designers placed the counter at the rear of the store, with a separate open-area dining area, complete with a 50/50 mix of tables and booths. The color scheme is still a variation on the original 1970s orange and brown furniture with brown brick floors and walls. It's cozy and inviting. The ceiling fans overhead gently distribute the heat and smell of the kitchen throught the place. In one concise word, it's "Cozy"..We ordered the standard pepperoni pizza and it comes out as only Donato's does it. The crust is saltine-based, thin and crisp. The sauce is a blend of zesty and sweet, neither end getting too much attention. The toppings are pretty standard, but their pepperoni is a little smaller than most and packed with that fantastic Donato's porky-fatty-greasy taste. Even better, the pepperonis hgo "Edge-to'Edge" and they have a penchant for curling up like buttercups, making you want to pluck them off one-by-one and pop them into your mouth. Simply fantastic..As on late 2014, a standard one-topping medium pizza costs around 14.00. The delivery charge is 2.00, so it'll usually cost you 20.00 for a 12" pizza. A little steep, but Donato's has earned the reputation for being the Cadillac of Columbus Pizzas, with dozens of locations around Franklin County alone. The chain is now spread through a half-dozen states with hundreds of locations..Our second recent journey was a pick-up order and we were hungry for an Italian Sub, so we ordered two "Big Don" subs, which are Italian subs with Pepperoni, Salami, Chopped Iceberg lettuce, sliced Beefsteak Tomatoes, banana peppers and Italian dressing..Our order came to 14 dollars and change. Unfortunately, just like our order from Massey's in Whitehall, it left something to be desired. The Italian bread bun didn't taste oven-baked and the portions were less-than-average. All-in-all, we were disappointed with the lack of Value here..Still, we reserve judgment on the subs - They were a little better than average. The pizzas, however, are pretty fantastic. This brand is, however, suffering a little bit from the size of the chain. The service is a little uneven and that comes through in every aspect. With that being said, it is a "Chain Pizza Store" - and as those three words inform you - It is likely to include its fair share of stoners and hangabouts working on their staff. (Sorry, Jane - It's True, there are potheads driving your cars - just like they do at Domino's, Godfather's, Papa John's, and Pizza Hut) That's okay, though, because it's great fast food - and few things beat that when you're tired and hungry.

I stopped here after hearing good things. The staff was nice. The pizza had a good amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni. The flavor was OK but not great. Almost seemed like there was a spice or something missing. Better than a lot of other places that I have tried.

I have been frequenting Milano's for years and it is, undoubtedly the best!. The food is freshly prepared using only freshest, high quality ingredients, the servings are huge and the price is very reasonable. Their house Italian Salad Dressing is beyond compare as are their homemade meatballs. Their veal dishes are so delicious and lovingly prepared they melt in your mouth. Their pasta dishes are always served "al dente". This is a restaurant that is a "must try" when in this part of Columbus. It is truly the finest Italian Restaurant in Central Ohio.

We ate dinner with a friend on Sunday and the place was busier than expected. The server was friendly. Upon ordering she apologized for not having any salad options available due to a recall on Romaine lettuce only. The kale and sausage was disappointing with more potatoes that the titled ingredients. The salmon entree was average. The chicken margarita had hard to cut meat. The food at the Panera next door is better. All OG restaurants have annoying digital video devices on the tables, which most customers pointed away from their tables. Our server used the device to process our payment with a recommended tip % shown but we prefer to make our own tip decision. The server also proceeded to ask several rating questions - uncomfortable and awkward.

This little, very non-descript Italian place serves it's food up well and with a level of authenticity. Even though it is tucked into a strip mall, the restaurant itself is very welcoming and comfortable. The food is very well prepared with a slight flair and will not disappoint. The night we were in with another couple it was relatively slow (only about half full), but the staff was still paying attention like it was an extremely busy evening. The staff was relatively on top of things (I would have liked them to know their wines a bit better), but they were very discreet and made sure we were taken care of. If you are looking for a place that will serve authentic meals in a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, this is it.

The food here is amazing....all of it! From the bread, to stuffed mushrooms, so yummy. The chicken parmesan was tender and perfectly seasoned, the fettuccini alfredo was an upcharge.but worth it. The manicotti was extremely good too and the pizza! Ooh my gosh, big enough to feed two or three people. The leftovers were very tasty the next day too. We will definitely return.
