Sample the cheese. Check out the prepared hot or cold meals. Pull together ingredients for a special Italian dinner at home. Order food for a party. Take your time browsing the well stacked shelves. Experience friendly and competent staff. I love this place.

This place just smells like your old Italian grandmothers basement after she had been cooking all day! (Amazing. And know what I am talking about if you are Italian). The subs are huge and just fantastic with plenty of fun options to choose from. The guys who run the place are friendly and helpful. They have been doing this for awhile and it shows! The meats and cheeses are to die for! Definitely a great spot to pick up subs and specialty Italian items! Try it out... You won't be disappointed. Small little place right on delaware in Albany.

I'm particular when it comes to pizza. This place came recommend to me and I decided to try it out. Pizza tasted great. Reasonably priced. It is definitely a busy place, especially during peak times. Even so, things moved prettyâ quickly. If you'reâ not walking, parking could be a bit of an inconvenience but it's downtown so that is to be expected. Would recommend!

On the recommendation of a colleague in Albany, Restaurant Navona was recommended for our rather large group's Saturday night meal. The restaurant was ready when we arrived, and the seating area accommodated the needs of our reservation. The waitstaff was very friendly and took immense pride in what the restaurant had to offer its patrons. Orders were taken relatively quickly, and the group's appetizers arrived together rather than piecemeal. The evening's mussels and clams were prepared perfectly, and when we requested additional bread to sop-up the flavorful broth, there was no second thought about bring more. And, speaking of their bread, all dough is made in-house and used for both their breads and the pizza crust. Many in our group ordered an individual pizza, which was more than satisfying and delectable. No one left Restaurant Navona unsatisfied. In fact, the group continued to remark that this evening's meal was one of the best they had experienced in quite some time. Kim, the owner, is a gracious hostess, topping off a memorable dining experience with anecdotes about the restaurant's history, philosophy on food, and their locavore tradition. Highly recommended.

If people consider this a gem, they have never had good Italian food. My calamari with mild marinara sauce over penne was disappointing. I make better and more flavorful sauce. Worst of all was the calamari. Just rings and occasional pieces. No tentacles or feeling like it was true calamari. Just thawed out , previously frozen. No flavor at all. Penne wasnât al dented but soft and over cooked. My daughterâs lasagna had an off appearance - it looked more like tuna casserole and the mozzarella on top were just deli slices. No hand cut cheese on top. Taste was ok but mushy. My husband enjoyed his chicken parm but said it wasnât memorable. We skipped dessert. Didnât have think it would be good. Place could use updating inside. Seen better days.

We had dinner here last night and with the exception of the dessert our appetizers, entrees and service was excellent. We were disappointed in the apple pie dessert. The crust was not as good as we expected. Full disclosure, my wife is great at pie making and bread making. Otherwise, everything was most enjoyable. The atmosphere is excellent. We've been here before and will return again for sure. Emma and another person who helped with serving our table did a great job making sure everything was as needed. My tuna with tapenade was as good as served to me in Sicily last year. Compliments to the kitchen staff for this entree.

On our quick evening in Albany we choose this place and we are glad we did. Comfortable feel immediately upon walking in. Itâs has separate rooms with different agendas in each. Bar with TVs and high tops. Dinner type area with tables then a music/bar areaWe sat in the dining area which was casual. Our server was engaging and gave plenty of tips on menu. We had the chili and French onion soup. Both were amazing The beer was great tooStreet parking only!

Traditional/Contemporary Italian Cuisine, affordable entrees, great service, and the atmosphere is sure to please.
I had lunch here today. The ambiance is elegant, the wait staff professional, and the food top notch. Prices at lunch are very reasonable. I recommend this place highly if you are in Albany, NY.

This place is so small, you'll pass it by if you blink. Don't blink. Don't pass it by. Stop in. You'll have the dining experience of a lifetime. Impressively dressed waiters. Impressive dinner menu. Impressive service. Impressive food. There wasn't anything NOT TO LIKE about this great little "find" located Uptown Albany on Central Avenue.Never been there before....will be going back soon. From appetizers to the bread to the entrees to dessert, it was an experience not to be missed. From the Eggplant Rollitini to Parmigiana, from exquisite chicken and veal dishes, and the amazing ending of Lemon Cake, you'll walk out completely sated.

Great Italian restaurant in Albany. We went here with a party of 7 for Easter dinner. The food was absolutely excellent and the service was amazing. Every one of us enjoyed their meals. Our waitress, Shani, could not have been friendlier or more efficient. She is by far the best server we have had in a long time anywhere. I was also here a couple of months ago with some other couples. We had great food and service then too. I will be back!
