We were driving from Rome to our villa in the Tuscany area and were looking for a restaurant for lunch. We exited A1 before the exit we intended to take and saw a "smiley face" sign that said restaurante'. We were in a very remote area but followed the smiley face signs until we came to the restaurant about 2 miles away up in the hill area. It was a beautiful setting, very remote, all by itself. The food was excellent and it was exactly what we were looking for in terms of atmosphere and food. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Cruscioff's is an oddity: styled after Irish pubs, decorated with historic German prints, named after a Soviet ruler, it serves delicious regional italian specialities and beers from all across Europe (including seasonal, small batch and organic). My friends and I love it.A small dining room, secluded from the main bar area, is the best spot for a happy night out with friends or a cosy dinner, particularly if you're not football- or karaoke- mad.Try the bruschetta with Lardo di Colonnata: it is rich, creamy and meltingly delicious.Lots of old standards you'll find in casual restaurants, like fritto misto, olive ascolane, etc., but here they are well-prepared and particularly tasty. Good, properly aged steaks. The laid-back, wonderfully friendly staff make you feel at home. It's a family-operated place and they seem to care a great deal about their business and their customers.Sant'Oreste is certainly worth a day trip from Rome (50 km North-West of Rome, along Via Tiberina - or take the A1 motorway for ease). The landscape of the Sabina and the Tiber Valley varies from rolling hills covered in olive groves, to nature reserves -populated with wild boar, porcupines and pheasant- to tiny medieval villages perched on Appennine mountainsides. If culture, nature and historic architecture aren't enough of a draw, there's the Soratte Outlet Mall at the foot of the mountain. Then off to Cruscioff's for a good dinner. Although the views from the outdoor tables in summer are beautiful and sweeping, there is something to be said for the cosiness and warmth of the place in winter.

Beautiful view, friendly service and honest, well prepared food. Tasty secondi & excellent deserts. Wine is mainly house wine it seems. Fairly standard menu but the relaxed atmosphere & simple, good cooking make for a nice meal.

Welcoming and service wasn't so friendly than other places during these weeks. Service was quick but when waitress took our order, it was unclear for us what will come... She couldn't answer for all our questions in English and we didn't know Italian so well. Anyway, food was just like we ordered. Pizzas were ok, not so crispy as somewhere else. It was good that they had sharpened knives. And yes, service was 1,50 â¬/person. Nowhere else outside big cities there hasn't been that fee. Food was a little bit more expensive.

I have been a fan of EcoFattorie Sabine for years. It is one of the best places to buy excellent Sabine cheeses (if the ricotta al forno is available, buy a slice) organic meats, fresh and cured sausages, various types of artisanal breads, wines, compotes, honeys and jams, not to mention some excellent organic Sabine olive oil. Opening a restaurant was a stroke of genius. I visited the new restaurant about a month after it opened. From the epic cheese and charcuterie taglieri (woodwn platters) to the pasta primi and succulent meat courses that followed EcoFattorie Sabine did our beloved rustic Sabine region proud. The menu is a brilliant advertisement for each and every of EcoFattorie Sabine's products. Be careful! If you ever eat there you will be hooked... not only by the restaurant, but by the store's products. My favourites are their ricotta, the ricotta al forno (wood fire oven-backed ricotta) their wide range of local Sabine pecorino cheese, and their salumi. Ecofattorie Sabine is rustic and homey gastronomic delight. I can't wait to go back.Thank you! We look forward to seeing you again!

This is one of the most disturbing restaurants I have ever been to.We come without reservation hoping to get a nice first meal in Italy, however what happened inside has made me lose my confidence in foreign restaurants. It was my son's birthday and I wanted pizza. This restaurant was nr.1 on tripadvidor so I had no doubt and went there immidiately. It was cold inside, the owner was too lazy to open the gas?The man spoke Italian to us which we didn't understand. He gave us a table of eight which was excellent. When he gave the menu, we didn't know what to choose. We choose 8 pizzas in total, 2 bottles of water and a bottle of Coca-Cola. I checked the prices before ordering, ofcourse. We ordered and asked the man to make our food without pork.He started to make sounds like a pork and said something funny in Italian, which we didn't understand, after his sentence finished, all the other Italians were staring at us and laughing. I am 100% sure that we were being laughed at. I felt humiliated and other people who ordered later than us got their food first.49 minutes had passed (yes, I checked) and the first from us got his pizza. They brought a pizza which we didn't order and we asked to take it back and bring the pizza we ordered. The guy got back to the kitchen and got the pizza we asked in 5 minutes somehow. Why did we wait almost 50 minutes for the first few pizzas than? In most pizzas there was no cheese (which Italian pizza does not have cheese!?). There were even pizzas brought to us without tomato sauce (the base of a pizza always need this, what happened?). One pizza looked like a pizza base with tomato soup, disgusting. The man even told us that the pizzas he brought was normal Italian pizzas. We investigated this later and this was not true. Other Italians could not believe our story. When we asked the check we were suprised with the high prices for the drinks. He even added the pizza we didn't order to the check. We complained and he went red and fixed the issue. When we left, we saw Italians eating normal pizzas we thought we would get.2/10 worst restaurant. Even frozen Ristaurante pizzas are better.

Usually hate fixed price menus but this IS an exception. From the savoury antipasti to the 3 pasta dishes to the meats (or fish occasionally)to a wide desert selection, everything is really enjoyable and service is friendly. With the 22 euro menu you also get the good house wine & caffe. Very pleasant Serendipity atmosphere and terrace with great view,

This is a beautiful, airy restaurant surrounded by rolling hills and big skies, but it's the artful food and wine that takes centerstage. Everything is delicious and flavorful, delicately plated. Since all produce is all natural and sourced from the onsite farm, from the wagu beef to the berries used to cream the butter for pink frosting, the flavors are incomparable.I had perfectly poached eggs with shaved white truffles on butter fried brioche garnished with micro greens for one meal. Silky, richly marbled wagu beef and crisp, wafer-thin prosciutto came before the plump, dense tortellini stuffed with fresh goat cheese. Each bite, I washed down with a sip of the reasonably priced but excellent house white. Dessert was apple done three ways - each a work of art with tangy, sweet apple bites turned into tart, a moist cake, or deconstructed inverse pie. I only spent a day there, but time really did stand still, and I left replensihed, relaxed, and calm.

Live in the area, saw the reviews thought it worth a look. We arrived sat down took 20 mins to be served.antipasto just ok, pasta good, mains flavoured only with juniper. Had to go get the bill ourselves. Dingy room, bit chilly and dark. Really not sure what the amazing reviews are about we won't return..
