excellent dinner, typical appetizer and pasta dishes excellent. Much appreciated tordelli with cod and steak: huge and delicious, cooked perfectly! only flaw: the menu is written in Italian, but the waitress translates directly to the table. We had dinner on the terrace, spectacular views and we were served with kindness and attention. A great treatment and the cost is really low! A gorgeous disclosure!

Whilst not a destination eatery, if you're in the 'hood (for example, visiting the villas nearby) and are looking for a decent pizza with an enormous choice of toppings this is the place. It's a relatively small joint (10 - 12 tables depending on the layout) and very popular with locals both eating in and taking out (especially around 8pm). There are three sizes of pie, the middle being the most 'normal'. There is good focaccia as well as both red and white pizzas with the biggest selection I have seen anywhere. The kitchen is well organised to cope and the single waitress at the front of the house did an outstanding job of prompt service with a smile and an explanation when required the night we visited. The guy who set up the joint used to work at Lucca's oldest pizzeria, Felice, and obviously learnt his trade well. Is there a unique selling point (USP) apart from the pizza choice ? Yes, I would say the Trentino beers (BiDiBa) which are excellent with one on tap. The wines looked fine but we didn't try them.

This is a modern building on the SP25 Via di Moriano on the outskirts of Lucca. Although the sign shows 'Pizzeria' dominating, the menu was wonderful and the cooking matched the anticipation. The easygoing staff were very helpful and accommodating with our big family group - the children wolfed their pastas and pizze and the adults were well served too. The litre jugs of house Prosecco were excellent. Everything was great - including the very reasonable price. Our holiday rental was within a short walk so we were regulars for our couple of weeks - 8 adults and 4 children and every one of us loved it.Thank you so much for your positive response!! We hope to see you once again :)RegardsSelenia :)

When arriving in our holiday villa we decided to eat out. The house owner referred us to the osteria. Somewhat reluctantly patron Andrea accepted our reservation of 18 people the same night. The contrast with this reluctance couldn't have been bigger compared to the reception upon arrival. Malika treated us enthusiastically and warm. The food was great as well was the prosecco and wine.Andrea regularly checked up on us regularly. We had a wonderful night and most definitely will come back. Thank you Malika and Andrea!

We were family of four, home feeling place, no fancy decor, beautiful as it is. This is typical papa & mama restaurant, offering what available fresh today and tasty gorgeous food. The service is excellent and the price is realistic, affordable. 4?starters, 5 main, bottle of wine and 3 soda, big family size desert home made a little bit of everything and there bottle of water for â¬70. I do recommend this place.

Very nice restaurant in Marlia with excellent service. The menu included many unusual and inventive dishes (not typical of Tuscany), the wine was good and reasonably priced and the decor was great. However, the restaurant was freezing cold and we kept asking for the heating to be turned up but there just weren't enough heating units installed. This would be fine in the summer obviously!

An excellent lunch was delivered to a very nice quiet outside space which provides good shelter from the sun. The menu was extensive and the choices varied. Any food I saw going to other tables looked delicious. I would certainly go back. The Pranzo Di Lavoro was a little more expensive at 15 euros but the food was very nice indeed.

This is supposed to be a Michelin star restaurant and the food is of that quality. Unfortunately the service is woefully lacking. The Maitre Dâ is aloof and seems to be overwhelmed with his responsibility. 8 of us had a fine lunch and the food was very well prepared. However, several times during our meal we were required to get up and refill our wine glasses. The staff seemed not to notice empty wine glasses. This despite the fact we consumed 6 bottles of wine and ended up with a tab of $125.00 per person. You would think a table that generated over $1,000.00 in revenue would have commanded at least a modicum if attention, but alas they were too busy to notice us. I say spend your dollars elsewhere. Someplace where you will be noticed and appreciated. There are many good restaurants in Lucca. This one is not a good choice. At a lower price point it would have rated higher, but it is a very poor value

Donât let the outside of this wonderful little pizzeria put you off. Walk through that dingy doorway, continue past the deli counter (which is pretty special In itâs own right) and into a lovely little restaurant in the back. The place is always full of locals which always tells me a lot about a place! They do some nice appetisers and a few pasta dishes and Secondi plates, but itâs the pizza that makes this place. With a huge pizza oven and probably 40 different pizzas on offer you canât go wrong. Our party of nine went twice on a recent holiday and both times we all came away really satisfied. We made the mistake of choosing a different place for our meal on our last night and we all regretted it!!A little tip, save yourself for pudding and walk just down the road to gelateria Sauro who do the most amazing gelatos!!

Antica Locanda Di Sesto is a restaurant located on the right side of the Serchio River,in the outskirts of Lucca. The Building dates back to the 1368, as the marble stone in front of the restaurant says, a period when the local merchants started to build
What a fantastic place to enjoy Dinner ,Location, Kitchen, Service, all fit in one word, perfect..This restaurant is family owned for over 200 hunderd Years and vibes the Tuscan air, pleasant and relaxing.Try the spaghettoni al guanciale, goes al dente in a big Sheep cheese bowl, stir with some crispy pork and put a on warm plate, a taste explosion, in what seems a simple recepy, less is more. The starter, being antipasto misto della case, is somthing to be proud of as kitchen chef, a large selection of Tuscan goodies, it made my day.Next time around, I will rush back, can`t wait, well thinking about that, It`s a great excuse to go soon.Keep this Gem for yourself please.
