We visited this place today. I had the layered lasagna and breadsticks. Both were delicious. Husband ordered a small buffalo calzone. It was big enough to fill him up and he loved. We has the best and most friendly waitress named Jennifer. She is an asset to their business. Will be stopping in if travel past Pikeville again.

The elementary school my grand children attend rewarded each child (two grand children total), with a coupon for a free child size meal. (NOTE, this was not a coupon created by the school. These were created by Gatti's.So, with both grand children very excited "I WORKED HARD PAPAW, I GOT ALL A's." (smile!)"I DID TOO PAPAW, ARE YOU PROUD OF US?" (smile?) "Papaw is very proud of you." We arrived and with both girls smiling from their sense of accomplishment, each presented their coupon. "You can only use one," said the person at the cash register Teary eyed, "PAPAW, I DID GOOD AT SCHOOL, I DID ALL MY WORK AND I HAD ALL---- A's, WHY CAN'T I EAT TOO?""YOU CAN EAT," I replied. "SINCE BOTH OF YOU HAD ALL--- A"s AND BECAUSE YOU BOTH WORKED HARD AND DESERVE A REWARD FOR YOUR GRADES, LIKE THE SCHOOL INTENDED; HOW ABOUT WE GO TO GOLEN CORALL NEXT DOOR." They (both age 11) expressed they felt like they were truly rewarded (loved the desert bar) for their effort at school. LOL, they have both asked to return to GC twice ("I will get all A's again, papaw, pleeeease!").
We recently re-discovered an old favorite with a different name, but same owners. The family that owns and operates this establishment once owned a different franchise about 5-10 minute drive from this location. The ownership makes a difference. They make a product that is greatly underappreciated. It appears that it might be taking off, but it may take a little time for folks to get re-acquainted with the new name. The good: Great tasting pizza. Perfect amount of cheese, sause and the crust is what makes it for me. The not so great for me: Dining area is sparsely decorated and the tables don't quite accommodate well. The don't have a lot of options for seating, then there is never salt or silverware on the tables. Service is just OK, but again this establishment is probably more of a takeout establishment than a sit down and dine in.
