This perfect little place is something special.Located in a tiny village way outside of the touristy hustle and bustle it really is a peaceful little place where you feel you're experiencing a true piece of Tuscany. The food was excellent and our waiter and somellier, Federico, was kind enough to let us order smaller/half portions so that we could taste everything :) Good portions, and in no danger of going hungry :) We also were shown the wine cellar where there was a good celection. A lot of information about the food, the wine and the area :) Couple of things:There were no soft drinks other than water (still or sparkling). Our waiter was eager to chat, which is very nice. It did leave us, however, with less time to converse between ourselves. Thank you Bente for your beautifull review.I beg you pardon for the lack of soft drinks but we decided not to serve them because i prefer to not ruin the taste of the dishes with sweet drinks and for ethical reasons.I'm glad that you had a nice experience in my restaurant, and i can say that you were awesome guests ! Said that i hope to see you again if you come back to Italy (hope you'll forgive me if i'm too chatty) and hope the wines you bought are in your tastes! Thanks again !!

This restaurant/B&B is situated in a small village in Celle dei Puccini, Pescaglia, about 30 minutes drive from Lucca, up a hill in the Alpi Apuane. We were renting a property nearby, of which there are quite a lot, so did not stay at the B&B. We went to the restaurant the day before to book. It looked closed but we rang the bell and the owner/chef/waitress came to the door and booked us in for dinner the following evening. It is worth pointing out that you have to park on the road and take a footpath into the village, the restaurant being at the far end. We were greeted by the same lady, Leofanti Brigida, who told us she had grown up in the area and worked in the restaurant for 40 years. We were the only guests, apparently not unusual, but the restaurant is actually quite large and we suspect it must fill up at times. It is well maintained with modern facilities so must be making money.Regarding the meal, there is no menu. We were given a really good selection of hot and cold antipasti but paced ourselves, not knowing what was to follow. Next was a choice of soup or pasta, both excellent. The meat course was either beef or pork, again both very good. Dessert was a chocolate creation. Coffee was included. Wine was extra and was in an unlabelled bottle, presumably made locally - unexceptional but drinkable at â¬8. The total bill was â¬60 for two. Brigida was doing everything and despite appearances was pretty nimble and efficient. The pace was good and we were there for over 2 hours.Brigida speaks no English but we understand there is sometimes someone there who speaks a little. The experience is very Italian and just lacked a little atmosphere with no other diners. We would go again and might be tempted to try the B&B.La struttura é completamente cambiata e noi i nuovi proprietari..

A perfect place to stop and have dinner or just a sneak, after a good walking on the Apuane Alps -- very nice hiking paths start from the end of the street.

Locale a conduzione familiare che offre cucina casalinga preparata secondo la tradizione. Specialità tortelli, cinghiale e funghi.

Had dinner with my friend Cesare here, a regular. Lovely local meats to start then an awesome plate of tortilla ragu! I've eaten a lot of ragu dishes in the area but this is by far the best, no doubt!A steak then ice-cream, wine and drinks for 45 euro (for two). Can't be beaten

A busy little village trattoria up in the Lucchese hills with lovely views as you drive up. The pasta is superb and the mostly meat menu unusual and excellent. They also unusually have big salads as mains, 'insalatone's, mine was very refreshing. He had a chitarra di cinta senese, a sort of rib-eye pork chop on the rib. They were turning people away as we ate so they clearly have established now a good local reputation. Best to book then. Prices good, value for money.Gentile Wabamik, la ringraziamo molto della bella recensione che ci ha fatto. Distinta saluti Trattoria La Collina

Interesting place... we were the only non-italians there and did not understand everything what is going on. And the dinner started with some appetizers, proscutto, shells filled with meet. We continued with different types of pasta (I was full at this moment), but continued with great half-kilo meet stakes... and desert at the end.Everything was great, but some explanation (on english) would be nice.At the end - 25 Eur / person. Bargain! And it all lasted for 4 hours :)

We were here last night and enjoyed ourselves. No menu but the helpful, English speaking waitress was able to advise. Antipasti was great and very large. Delicious pasta, I particularly appreciated that there were several vegetarian sauces for my daughter to choose from. I shared a secondo because the pasta was large!Very good value food.

Fab restaurant. Run by a hard working family that have make this a local institution. Tucked in the hills about 25 minutes from Lucca. Good range of meat and fish dishes, all local. Super friendly staff. Interior is smart, spacious. Posh vibe but you can dress informally. Used for wedding parties. Large balcony. Large parking lot.

We had a family lunch on the terrace of this very quaint restaurant today. I must say we are all favorably impressed. The location is excellent with a breathtaking view of the Monte Forata in the Apuan Alps. There food was well presented and well prepared. Friendly and helpful staff. A must if you are in the Versilia Area. Well done!!! Thank s, see you later !
