On our way to the Etna we passed by Pedara and stopped at Ristorante La Coccinella. It was a really good choice. The food was great and Stefano let us taste several dishes. He was very hospitable. It was an unexpected pleasure. We hope to come back.

There is a decent selection of tapas. The big draw was the beer selection. The owner is knowledgeable about beer and has an large selection of beer, including Belgian and IPAs. La Tinaja is great for groups with a reservation.Thank you so much, see you soon!

This was overall the best experience I have had in Pedara eating out. The staff came to meet me at the door and were courteous and attentive but not too formal. The antipasti were excellent and filled us up. The wine choice was excellent because the waiter went out of his way to help us choose something we wanted, even offering us a glass of wine from a bottle not usually sold by the glass.The toilets were clean and well-stacked with soap and toilet paper and it is definitely family friendly.I will definitely return.

We visited this restaurant as a group last night and had a great time. They seated us earlier than they opened which was appreciated and then the service itself was very friendly - even though we spoke almost no Italian! The pizzas were all excellent - delicious sauce and beautiful crust. Exactly what you want from a Sicilian pizza! No complaints at all.

A wonderful lunch of fresh mussels and fish. Everything was cooked to perfection and very fresh. Pippo and Salvo were very attentive and friendly. They made our experience very enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm and bright. We will become frequent patrons of this lovely restaurant. It is also very family friendly though the menu is solely fish and shellfish they were very happy to accommodate the desires of our children for plain pasta with olive oil and cheese as well as pasta with only shrimps! Grazie Mille!

Mi sono recato con mia moglie in questo locale che conoscevamo sotto diverse altre gestioni.E' stata un ottima sopresa, il locale accogliente, pulito essenziale e molto ordinato.Lodi al cameriere al tavolo che ci accolti come si accoglie un ospite presso la propria dimora.Cucina di ottima qualità .. esattamente abbiamo provato un ottimo antipasto (lo gnocco fritto) e due primi protagonisti di un menù essenziale ma che denota molta cura nel dettaglio della scelta degli ingredienti e nella qualità degli stessi.Che dire ci ritorneremo di sicuro per provare la carnezzeria che a detta dei propietari merita !!

We visited this beautiful little restaurant last month for the first time and it was a unique experience. The service was excellent, very personal, the owner's daughter is the front of house manager and she recited the menu from memory, advising us on our choices. I peeked into the kitchen and the chefs, one male, one female, both looked clean and professional, and the kitchen was orderly as well as being spotless.The restaurant is in an old 'palmento' where wine was made, and the original stone channels and gullies where the grape juice flowed are still visible. It is stocked full of interesting wines and memorabilia, and the tables are placed at intervals around the building on different levels creating a homely and welcoming environment.We ordered a house antipasto for two and were not disappointed! Subtle flavours, a wide range of vegetables and spices created a feast which married perfectly with the Syrah we had chosen directly from the cellar.Our first courses were ravioli filled with pistachio and a risotto with saffron cheese, the risotto was exquisite, the sweetness of the rice perfectly offset by the salty cheese. The pasta was a little thick for my liking and the sauce a little too creamy, but my husband enjoyed it.We were too full to try their range of steaks, which included wild boar and venison, and neither did we sample the desserts which sounded delicious. They'll have to wait until next time!The toilets were stocked with toilet paper and soap, a rare commodity here in Sicily, although I couldn't make out which was for women and which for men.If they could improve on anything it would be the lack of a written menu, and a wine list. I personally need to look at a menu in order to make such a weighty choice, and also we felt we were taking a leap into the dark not knowing prices. All in all the value for money was quite good, we spent â¬60 in two, with the wine costing â¬15. The only truly negative thing was the table below us who insisted on smoking even though we had said that the smoke bothered us. I felt that let them down on the service side and it is for this reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Gastro-style pub with rock legend décor, wide selection of beers and cocktails, not overly priced, selection of panini, salads and first courses, incredibly friendly staff who gave a very personal, enthusiastic service. We immediately felt very welcome and they also spoke English, which is great for any tourists visiting Acireale.
