This is the oldest Italian restaurant in Wichita--it's further out than we usually go, so never made it till recently. Other Italian restaurants have closed or gone downhill. So we made the 'trip' & we expected Italian environment & super food. But the decor was blah & the spaghetti was SWEET!? It lacked Italian flavor & spices! Salad was good, bread was fine. But the entre was a big disappointment. We were looking for a good Italian restaurant to frequent. This one isn't it...still looking.
If you want anything other than the big chains for pizza, this is a good place. Order at the counter and food is brought to you. They also have sandwiches and a few other dishes. Our friends really like their lasagna. They have a good desert calzone. We found that a medium pizza and splitting a "mine" size calzone was a good meal for 2.

We went to Marco's just to have something different. It's a small shop that does mostly take out or delivery but, they do have some limited seating inside. Service was fast and friendly. It did not take an unusual amount of time to get our pizza from the time we ordered. If you're wanting to make it a movie night, they're right next door to one of the last video stores in the area. The crust is closer to a hand tossed crust than either deep dish or thin crust. There is not a huge amount of sauce on the pizza but an adaquate amount. There was enough toppings to satisfy our needs. Overall it's a good pizza but maybe not outstanding. Because we really don't enjoy the big chain pizza places this is a restaurant we'll return to in the future.

My family arrived at 11:40am, a perfect time for Sunday lunch. By the time we left an hour later, people filled the waiting area and also outside. The hostess/waitress communication was off, so we waited unnoticed for 10 minutes. The atmosphere was clean & appropriate. The waitress performed her work adequately. The Italian salads were mediocre, the special of rigatoni with pork mediocre, yet the creamy fettuccine with grilled chicken fantastic. The price was reasonable for the total package.

This is one of the best chain restaurants in existence. The food is always good and you never leave hungry. The shrimp scampi appetizer is so good it's sinful. The ceasar salad is do creamy and garlicky it makes you smile when you eat it. The shrimp and scallop spedini is heavenly. Even the chef gets presentation points for the way the food is plated. And all of this for a reasonable price!
