Having had lots of Kaiseki and spent a week in Japan we were feeling like some western food for lunch. This pizza place is set on a hill outside of the main Kurokawa town so you will need a car. The wood oven pizzas were delicious and we had a great view.

We were driving to an Onsen near Mt. Aso and after nearly a month of Japanese food we were in the mood for a change, well we found it and we were very glad that we did!!The owners are very friendly and they run a very cute little Italian themed restaurant in a stunning setting that is very much off the beaten track - however, persist on the road for 15 minutes or so and you will be rewarded.We ordered two wood fired pizzas that were excellent. The rest of the menu also looked inviting but we were only interested in a late lunch - wish we had stayed closer to here or we might have come back for dinner!!
