although fairly welcoming the place could do with a some work and refurbishment. the decor is not warm at all. also there were a number of insects flying around which add to the sinister atmosphere. menu promises to offer refined and sophisticated food but the execution is disappointing. they should keep it more simple and less pretentious. avoid the pumpkin cappellacci. they are sweet that they'd be more fitting for dessert. apart from a coach load of Korean tourists and is there wasn't anybody else. I won't go back even if I'm hungry...

Best meal in Italy thus far! We ordered typical Ferrarese dishes, all was delicious! (See photos). Service was helpful & friendly. Quality and quantity were a 10/10 for me. Not expensive either. A little drive out of the heart of the city but it's without a doubt worth it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a satisfying Italian meal!

The floating restaurant bar is located on the river Po, near to Ferrara town. Has three ros , one inside and two outside, where you can enjoy excellent first courses and meat and fish dishes, superlative dessert, excellent red and white wine, service friendly, and last but very important, the price chip.

Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant and delightful experience. Had to-die-for buffalo mozzarella caprese recommended to us by our wonderful server-chef-owner! Wonderful house wine went with my seafood pasta and my friends mushroom pasta. The bread was the best I have ever had! I can't say enough about our experience here. Even worth going far out of your way for.

Enjoyed a lunch at the restaurant which was excellent and very fairly priced. Lunch menu was about 13 euro including drinks; so incredible price considering the quality of the food and options offered. Service is also very friendly.

I had a business lunch here and, despite the nice location, the menu is terrible.No rost potatoes and no fruit.Frozen vegetables cooked with a litre of oil.Sorry but I will not come in this location again.

We come here a couple of times per year, when we have something to celebrate, always happy to do so. Typically we take the "menu degustazione", this time it was the "seasonal" tasting menu, the more expensive one at 68 Eur per person (including wines @ 10 Eur pp). Excellent quality of ingredients, creative preparation and beautiful presentation of dishes (we take pictures !), well thought and competent selection of the wines which accompany each course, warm service with the owner discreetly checking and chatting with us. Only regret is that today it was a splendid day and the garden was closed, a/c was off, and no thought of opening any of the windows for fear of creating the dreadful "correnti d'aria" which terrify most Italians ... A good walk on the nearby bank of the river Po after lunch allowed us to catch up with the fresh air we longed for.A place we certainly recommend if you are looking for something out of the ordinary though a little pricey, even considering the good standards of the restaurants in Ferrara.

This restaurant-pizzeria is an absolut recommendation to whoever comes to the Ferrara area, its in a small place called Occhiobello,very close to the Ferrara,and they have the best pizza I have ever tried in Italy :) Only restaurants in Napoli can compare with this one :) But beware,they work only in the afternoon hours,if i am correct from 7pm on....

We had a table outside for lunch. Food was very good and presentation was impressive. Best ricotta and beets gnocchi! We have to emphasize that the service was excellent! Manager who meet us and assisted spoke excellent English, was extremely kind and attentive. We will visit again!There are rooms to rent that we would like to try one day. Our understanding was that the restaurant and the rooms got a new owner about a year ago and have been renovated.
