Nowy Targ [ˈnɔvɨ ˈtark] (Latin: Novum Forum, Slovak: Nový Targ, German: Neumarkt, Yiddish: ניימארקט Naymarkt) is a town in southern Poland with 34,000 inhabitants (2006). It is the historical capital of the Podhale region. The town is situated in a valley beneath the Gorce Mountains featuring Gorce National Park established in 1981, at the confluence of rivers Biały and Czarny Dunajec. Administratively, it is in Nowy Targ County in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It was previously in Nowy Sącz Voivodeship (1975–1998).

We had a craving for a good Italian style pizza (very thin and crispy dough) on the way back from the mountains to Krakow. Tripadvisor suggested this place and we were thankful for the hint. I read below in some earlier comments about a cigarette smell...and was a bit hesitant to try but it was perfect for a quick stop and no strange smell at all, probably it's outdated info. The place was not full but busy with families having a Sunday eat out,mostly soup-main-dessert, not only pizzas. The waiter was attentive,quick and switched to English immediately after it turned out we are not Polish. All in all, deserves the good ranking, go for it!
