So, the second go around is always the real test, and here I went. I can say one thing, Cucina Toscana passed the second go around with a big A++. This is simply the best restaurant in Salt Lake City and probably amongst the best Italian restaurants I know. Besides the great food, service is great, and Italian wine selection also (not being such a specialist on Italian wine I got great help and suggestions from our server). Went for traditional dishes, carpaccio as an appetiser and lasagna for main course. Both were made to perfection, and exquisite tastes. Too bad I am not so often in SLC!

I read a review that called it the best restaurant in town. Just sayin....the review was right. Great pizza! Perfect fire roasted crust, sauce, fresh ingredients. The pear pecan salad was the perfect blend of flavors. We arenât from the area but glad to have had an amazing lunch here. Gorgeous, eclectic interior as well!

One of my favorite restaurants is Bucca di Beppo. The closest location to my home is 2 hours away so if I visit a city that has a Buccas, then I eat there. I have visited numerous times in the following places ... Louisville, Indianapolis, Phoenix/Scottsdale and now Utah.I am sad to say that this location was not up to normal Bucca standards. As we arrived, a party of about 20 people were leaving. We waited at up front by the hostess stand for about 5 min and never saw or heard anyone. So I called the phone number ... after the press one for blah blah it started ringing which I heard because Iâm staring at the phone. After 20 rings I hung up. I told my daughter letâs just go somewhere else and she said NO, we had our heart set on this. So she goes looking for someone and only found a cook that was very apologetic. Well it didnât get any better. We had to ask for menus, and basically told the waiter the answers to our own questions. No drink refills and after asking about alcoholic drinks they never really wanted to serve us one. It really looked like this location was 50 years old. I just canât put into words how bad this experience was. We had to get our own oil/balsamic mix, saucers and extra napkins. Also my daughter refilled her own drink. Iâm sorry. It corporate needs to hear this!!!!janetchinn, we are concerned to hear this and would like to reach you. Picked at random and we felt a bit underdressed event at lunch. Great Italian Margarita, awesome caprese, great salmon and one of the best, most unique vodka sauces I have had. Loved the ricotta cheesecake, no doubt house made. Service was correct but got more friendly as the meal developed. Price and value on the high side but not near NY, LA etc prices and well worth it

Had a late lunch and not really hungry enough for dinner. The daughters wanted something sweet and walking distance from the hotel. Searched online for 'best dessert in Salt Lake City and found a recommendation for the Gelato shop inside this Pizzeria. Got some great, great gelato and smelled the enticing aroma of that pizza...and got a whole pie to go! In fact, enjoyed this so much we returned a second time upon our return to Salt Lake four days later at the end of our trip for more gelato.

Great food, excellent service, fantastic coffee. We were very happy to find this place since weâre not excited about the typical American restaurant. Food was very tasty and very cheap. Cocktails were great, and coffee tasted like in Europe (which is a good thing).

The patience and careful attention when selecting cheeses, meats, and olives from the well stocked selection is so appreciated and makes the entire experience enjoyable. Then there is the eating part... oh man, the best pepperoni, amazing cheeses and prosciutto. Everything you need for a feast or appetizers of the highest quality. Love love this place!

valter's opens for dinner at 5:30....our res at 6:00....and the restaurant was quickly filled. a small army of waiters, bussers, bread/water servers.......anticipate every need. very large portions.....we split homemade pasta carbonara (great!!!) and a veal ...also great. bottle of chianti $50. some reviewers complained about prices.....don't let your waiter up-sell you to the pricey tasting menu or high priced specials without asking cost before ordering.definitely a top-shelf dining experience.....even if Valter took the night off.

Authentic Italian Wood Fired Pizza, salads, soups, appetizers and Italian gelato. Lunch and Dinner 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. 4 :30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Great family owned Italian restaurant. Loved the pizza and the bruschetta. I had a salad and the dressing was fantastic with just a thick balsamic glaze and olive oil. They have great desserts and a gelato bar. We were there on Friday night and there was a man playing the accordion and singing sweet songs. He was also very personable and loved to talk to you if you went up to thank him. The food is reasonably priced. The wood pizza oven is amazing! Go up to the counter that looks into the kitchen and watch the food cook!
