This is a gem of a little restaurant in a strip mall. It is also a pizza place. The decor is nothing fancy, but the food is fantastic. All are very large portions, enough to take home and have another meal the next day. The wine is a reasonable price too.First trip I had the eggplant parm, excellent and so much food. The second visit I had the grilled salmon. 3 really nice size grilled pieces, cooked just right and so tasty, served with a salad or pasta on a bed of broccoli rabe, also cooked just right. The only critical thing I can say is that there is way too much oil in everything and that is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, but of course that makes it taste good. The serve on both visits was good, attentive but not annoying. Will be back!

Came here for dinner with family because we had a gift certificate so we figured we would give it a try. All I can say is there pizza when we get it from here is good not going to say it isnât but their food is just average and itâs overpriced because I guess they think they can charge a premium because they have good pizza. While everyoneâs meal wasnât bad mine was horrible. I ordered a baked ziti and what I received was something similar to about 30 pieces of Penne thrown on a plate with some mozzarella cheese on top there was not one single ounce of ricotta cheese. The meal was barely enough for a child to eat needless to say I asked the waitress if maybe they accidentally ordered me a half portion and she said no thatâs the full portion, To be honest I was absolutely amazedThat they charge what they charge for the small â and itâs not even what itâs supposed to be. One of my friends warned me before I went and said there are a lot of places that are better for the price but I had to put the gift card to use. The waitress was OK, She rushed us out because it was a Saturday night and it was busy so she took our order for appetizers and or meal all at the same time and seven people eating dinner weâre out of there in less than an hour and 15 minutes which we would have liked to sit down and digest a little bit longer but they were obviously trying to turn the table. Worst part is I have another gift card for this place so I will have to go back Iâll probably use it on pizza when my kids have their friends over so that I donât go paying for pasta but I can get somewhere else that is good.

The only ding I have is that the meals are very rich and heavy. The risotto sides have a lot of cheese. Service was very good. One thing I noticed was that the acoustics were very good - meaning that other table talk throughout the restaurant was not echoing off the walls & drowning out our conversation. Catered very well to my wifeâs dietary issues.

Villa d'Aqua 2565 Bellmore Avenue, Nassau County, Long Island, New York.South of Merrick Road, it is blended in almost looking like 'another private house' that happens to be nestled in a residential neighborhood on a cozy waterway inlet overlooking the inlet bay. Quite charming cozy fine dining eatery with very attentive wait staff offering you a wide-enough menu selection with lots of variety to satisfy your palate. Decent portions of tasty delicious dishes. Even has outdoor waterfront dining when seasonal weather permits.

Went on a Friday nite without reservations but next time will make them. By the time we (2 couples) left, the restaurant was packed. Arrived at 6PM for a Birthday celebration dinner with friends. We each ordered something different. Got to taste my husband' s entrée of eggplant parm with lots of vegetables and side dish of linguine with (had to be) homemade sauce. So glad we took leftovers home - just as good the next day for lunch. I ordered the Lobster Ravioli, topped with a basil creamy sauce and small shrimp. Very good but no accompanying salad, although the entrée itself was filling. Our friends ordered Chicken Parm and something LaStrada. They enjoyed their meal but didn't offer to share. Oh well! Neither did I! We each had a nice size wine glass of Chianti. Very good. Too full for dessert, maybe next time. Prices seemed reasonable but hey we didn't pay. Would definitely return and order something else scrumptious from their menu.

We visited recently with a party of ten on a weekday for an early supper. We arrived ten minutes earlier than our reservation time and had to wait in the foyer while the waiter set our table. Unusual but no big deal. When they were serving our salads I asked for crushed pepper and was given a pepper shaker! Really. One of our guests asked for the same and the same waiter came over with a pepper grinder and took care of it. Again unusual but now kind of annoying. We then waited a very long time for our entrees. This was strange as it was only a party of 10 and it was before the dinner crowd and on a week night. My young niece was so hungry we asked for them to bring her entree before all of the others, which they did. By now we were very frustrated. A good waiter would have brought over some garlic bread or something else and apologized but not our waiter. After dessert we were all set to leave and our waiter was not available. A co-worker brought us the bill and told us he was on the phone. We were not told who he was speaking with but it must have been very important, maybe his recruiter? When he finally showed up I asked if we could use a promotion I had clipped wherein you get a $15 gift card if you spend over $65. Considering we had spent over $400 I thought it would not be a problem. The waiter said no and showed us the fine print on the promotion which excluded price fixe. While some of our meals were price fixe about half of the bill was not which included wine and appetizers. Sorry, but after the poor service we should have been given two gift cards. Anyway we will not be returning to Cara Mia. There are several good Italian restaurants nearby that value repeat customers.

We stopped by umbertos a few weeks ago before seeing a movie /sunday â¦.We had the pizza which was excellent ...We decided to come back the following week on Saturday for a formal dinner ..it was a disaster...When we arrived it was crowded and there was no-one to take your reservation..All the workers were busy attending to their tables ..Finally a fellow came over I think he was the owner..he kept shaking my hand..When we were seated we ordered a margarita pizza which came out after 8 minutes...but I had ordered off their takeout menu the manager told me the order would be no problem-veal/milenese which is fried veal with bruschetta, onions ,olive oil,and arugala salad @balsamic oil...It took them about 40-minutes to bring my dinner-out..However they forgot to include the toppings(bruschetta,onions,olive-oil,arugala on the veal..The manager by the way took the plate back and I could see him directing the chefs /rather young on how to complete this dinner..I should mention since it was busy the manager had been serving us and he kept shaking my hand and trying to explain when something wrong+but his English was not very good...The problem seemed to be that the chefs/owner didn't know their own menu..I will add that the margarita pizza was good although when the mgr ask my lady if she wanted parmesan cheese on her pizza she said no and he gave her extra parmesan....I would say if you go to umbertos in bellmore get the pizza but for a formal dinner be careful !!!! Ive been to umbertos in newhyde park which is a first cabin restaurant....The Bellmore manager didn't even apologize for the mistakes or offer a dessertor drink on the house..amazingâ¦...
