Reviews on Italian food in Newport, Oregon, United States. With its ideal location on the magnificently rugged Oregon Coast, the entire city of Newport is a natural observatory that offers a number of fun and educational activities for the whole family. Spend the morning exploring tide pools, combing the beach for fossils and spotting marine life in their natural habitats. Then head over to the Oregon Coast Aquarium where you can pet an octopus and walk through a glass tunnel surrounded by sharks. Newport is also home to two lighthouses, one of which is the tallest on the Oregon Coast. Historic Nye Beach, with its colorful cottages and laid-back atmosphere, is the perfect spot for a picnic and a quick rest from all the sightseeing.

Fabulous restaurant. The Negroni cocktail was amazing. The large green olives were delicious as an appetizer. Two of us ordered the eggplant-not your typical eggplant. Even if your not fond of eggplant you gotta try these-outstanding!

I am amazed there are not people lining up to eat here! Excellent food on 2 recent visits. Lunch was duck and salmon(with mango salsa) both prepared to perfection. Freshly grilled veggies and complimentary clam chowder rounded out the meal. Chef mentioned he would be having white salmon the next night. Yes-white salmon-a rare treat! We brought friends the next evening and we all cleaned our plates. The hefty portion of salmon was exceptional, grilled veggies, complimentary chowder and garlic bread canât be beat. The best tiramisu we have ever eaten finished our gourmet experience. Donât let the location or storefront fool you this place is gourmet food heaven.

We ordered a pepperoni pizza with a $2 off coupon. It tasted fine. Not the best but not the worst. We also got a shrimp salad which was pretty big. It could be a large meal or shared by a few while waiting for pizza. Service was fine. Not super friendly but not rude. Fountain drinks seem expensive for not offering refills.
