We needed a break from expensive foods in noisy restaurants and LA 500 provided it. Set on a side street the restaurant was comfortable and the service attentive. The pizza away excellent paired with a nice Merlot. I also loved the Calzone. We sat inside on a chilly evening, but they have outdoor seating as well.

This very small restaurant has only 2 tables so it is better for take away. The pizza are OK (no wood fire oven) but a bit overpriced vs. the standard of the facility that looks more like a Kebab rather than an real restaurant. Service is good.

This small restaurant is an amazing gem in an unlikely place. It is located on a quiet, non-descript, narrow street, behind the sex shops and mid-range hotels that front on the main street paralleling the train tracks, near the train station. Few other restaurants are nearby. The creation of Didier, it is a small place with umbrellas and a few tables and bushes outside, and a modest-sized interior. We tried it early in our stay, and went back twice more for dinner. (It has recently started serving lunch, we were told.) A modest selection of first plates (for 9 euros each) is patiently explained by Didier, then a modest selection of main courses (14 euros each). Although Didier is French, he has Italian relatives and offers beautifully prepared, authentic Italian dishes. He has a small selection of well-chosen Italian wines. The meal is preceded with an aperitif and is followed by another small drink on-the-house. The over-all price for dinner is about the same you would pay at any of the numerous small restaurants in old town, a remarkable value.I had a Sicilian dish of stuffed sardines that was amazingly wonderful. I much enjoyed the tomato-five-ways appetizer. My wife raved about the squash carpaccio with goat cheese ice cream. Best of all was the tiramisu. We have graded a couple hundred tirimisus (in Italy and throughout the world), since having an excellent one in Chicago about two decades ago, and La Tavolaâs is our new standard. We invited some friends to join us on our last two evenings at La Tavola and they were equally impressed. As another review mentions, Didier says he is moving to Ontario next year, which will surely be a gain for Canada.

The menu offers vegetarian and traditional options, all made with fresh, quality ingredients. We had the focaccia first, it was baked marvellously. I had the spaghetti carbonara, done The Italian Way® (no sour cream) with the most delectable pancetta. My partner had the cheese ravioli and these too were amazing. By then we were too full for dessert but we'll be back for all. of. them. The staff was nice enough to compensate a long wait, due to a technical glitch, by gifting us our drinks which is always much appreciated. An all around excellent experience.

We managed to get a booking at this restaurant on Sat 14 May. At first it looks like many of the others nearby in the touristy bit of town but it was really an authentic Italian restaurant with a fairly small menu but specialising in what they do best - pasta based dishes. The sea food tagliatelle was delicious as was the pasta with smoked salmon. One of the tastiest Italian meals I have had for years.

Very rarely do I give 5 stars but the atmosphere and food were great. The host who looks like serpico entertained us from start to end. No menu but great Italian food and wine kept coming.

Donât really need to share this but these guys are consistently top notch for Pizza. This is my go to place in Nantes if not at a full business dinner . Itâs industrial style , pallet wood tables and nice metal work , vibe is always relaxed -Food is a decent choice of very well cooked fresh delicious pizza . Itâs with saying that in a city flooded with food choices and competition these guys have expanded with a small restaurant on top of the take away business it started from . Salads also on the menu and a couple of sweets - Pizza on the photo is Honey Pig ;)

Called in here after visiting the chateau, on a wet day. Welcome atmosphere, friendly staff and 2 x 26cm freshly made pizzas, which were delicious. These were large but you can get a 32cm as well. I had a green side salad to go with it and a soft drink, although alcohol was available. Fast service, considering each pizza is freshly made. Would definitely go here again.
