Reviews on Italian food in Murray, Utah, United States. Murray City (/ˈmʌri/ or locally /ˈmɜːri/) is a city situated on the Wasatch Front in the core of Salt Lake Valley in the U.S. state of Utah. Named for territorial governor Eli Murray, it is the state's fourteenth largest city. According to the 2010 census, Murray has approximately 46,746 residents. Murray shares borders with Taylorsville, Holladay, South Salt Lake and West Jordan, Utah. Once teeming with heavy industry, Murray’s industrial sector now has little trace and has been replaced by major mercantile sectors. Known for its central location in Salt Lake County, Murray has been called the Hub of Salt Lake County. Unlike most of its neighboring communities, Murray operates its own police, fire, power, water, library, and parks and recreation departments and has its own school district. While maintaining many of its own services, Murray has one of the lowest city tax rates in the state.

We've been going here for years, since shortly after it opened. We love it. It may be the best Italian food we've had that wasn't in Italy. This is not fast food. When you order something, it's cooked for you. It will be slow, so plan on it. Just know that the delay is because the food is not sitting in a pan waiting for you to order it. It's cooked fresh when you order it.We've had probably half of the items on the menu and NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED.We've probably referred a couple of dozen people to the place. Often, they report a reluctance to go to a place that looks like it does. It's at the end of an iffy strip mall in Taylorsville. Frankly, it is a hidden gem. We've eaten at restaurants all over Italy and this little restaurant would easily fit in there and stand out for its quality. It's disappointing that the service is slow, but be prepared for freshly cooked food.

This is without question our favorite place for pizza. We love the combo meals, my favorite being the 8â pizza/salad. The salad is always fresh and crispy, no leafy greens. The pizza is outstanding, and they never disappoint. We have been coming here for many years, and the owners have kept it consistent with high quality food. That is why this place is always busy. It is not fancy, but the food speaks for itself.

Next to The Shops at Fort Union, on East Fort Union Boulevard, sits Midvale's #1choice in Italian dining, Buca di Beppo! As soon as you step through our doors, you'll know that you're going to experience a memorable meal. Buca is everyone's favorite Itali
Three of us had dinner at this location & we were very satisfied with the food, the service & the ambience. We started with the mixed green salad, which was cold, very tasty & especially cooling on a hot day. We then ordered the Chicken Marsala, which was really delicious. The chicken was so tender & juicy, with the Marsala sauce that was loaded with mushrooms. We were being healthy, so we had the Brussel Sprouts with Prosciutto as a side dish. The sprouts were seasoned & fried, but not at all greasy, they were very good. My only complaint was there should have been more Prosciutto! We had lots of food & enjoyed all of it!Phyllis, we are happy to hear how much you enjoyed your meal with us! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

The restaurant tends to be full and noisy in the evenings but on a recent business lunch it was quite peaceful and quiet for a business meeting near the back of the seating area.

Celeste served my favorite Italian meal in Salt Lake City. Italy is not represented well at restaurants in this city. Catering to the uninitiated palates, Italian kitchens in the Beehive state pour an inordinate amount of sauce over cooked pasta, smothering the pasta, creating a soupy mess. Al dente pasta, with a wash of sauce, is as foreign to Utah as an adult Martini or a bawdy laugh. Chefs have literally apologized to me, shrugging their shoulders, and letting me know they are forced to give the people what they want. Superlative culinary excellence is not required. Celeste, located in a another of those discreet suburban strip malls, is a restaurant you must seek out. The journey is well worth the hassle. An Italian chef, from Forte del Marmi a popular Tuscan resort on Tyrrhenian Coast, is both the owner and chef of Celeste. His lovely and loquacious wife Carmen, supervising the dining room, brings warmth and European camaraderie to the non-descript space. The kitchen produces elegant and authentic dishes, many of which rival the best Italian kitchens anywhere. There are hits and misses, that do temper my hyperbole. The Carpaccio appetizer was just okay, but may be forgiven when a diner experiences the truffled risotto in a light Champagne sauce. This dish rivals risottos I tasted at Michelin starred restaurants in Milano, Torino, and Sant' Agata Sui Due Golfi in Italy. I remember them well. The other pasta dishes were the best we've had in Salt Lake City. My swordfish was perfectly cooked, lightly sauced, allowing the flavor of the seafood to live. Too often seafood at restaurants in this city literally drown fish in sauce, killing the flavor of the supposed star of the dish. I savored every bite. We took a homemade dessert home to taste, but it was much too sweet for our palate. Service from a gentleman who moved here from the Boston area was professional and kind. With two glasses of wine and a $15.00 corkage fee, our bill came to under $130.00 for three people. That is a veritable bargain for such wonderful food. Fantastico!!!

I met a friend here for dinner and was please that I was early enough for an early bird dinner. They have a dinner for $8.99 that includes and entree off a limited menu, salad and breadsticks. I was happy to have Portobello Mushroom Ravioli for a cheaper price. The waitstaff was nice and attentive. My only gripe is that they put us in one of the little rooms and then filled up that room (4 groups, 20+ people) leaving tables in the main dining area vacant. We had a very noisy room and the dinner would have been more enjoyable if I hadn't felt like we were competing with everyone else.

I found later there are a couple of locations. Iâm glad I found this one! Service was A++ and food was excellent. We had the meat and cheese tray and it fed 9 for an appetizer and we ordered 4 table side prepared carbonara dishes and split between the 9 of us. Wine choice by Jesse was perfect. Salmon was fresh and done perfectly. Steaks was very nice, perfect temperature and chicken dish was very good. Pizza was excellent and nice crust. Deserts were huge and we shared a couple and all were outstanding. An excellent meal in a small neighborhood strip mall Italian spot. It was extremely busy and after having dinner, we know why. Plus really a good bargain for the food and service. Thanks Jesse and team!

The Pie Pizzeria, a valley landmark since 1980, continues to reign atop the "Best Pizza" lists because of the business philosophy that consistency, quality, equitable pricing and great service are the keys to success. The Pie takes no short cuts! We belie
Got a pizza to go last night. It was wonderful. It was ready when they said it would be and it was a quick process to pick up the pizza, pay for it, and be on my way to enjoy it with family. Also got a salad to go and it was fresh.

We went for Easter brunch, it was good, not great or outstanding. The brunch menu was very limited although the prices were very reasonable and the food was okay, nothing too special. I ordered the vegetable omelet made with egg whites, a little too salty and very greasy but large, I couldnât eat all of it. My partner had the eggs benedict with breakfast potatoes, not enough sauce and the potatoes were very dry.We didnât have reservations and they were able to accommodate us with no problem.Service was good but slow. The restaurant itself itâs very nice and probably has beautiful ambiance in the evening.
