Great Neapolitan pizzas. Many selections in red or white sauce. High temperature wood fired oven. Great cheeses. Lots of flavors. Amazing aroma. Creative and flavorful dishes with home made pasta. Uses a lot of locally sourced ingredients. All ingredients are very fresh and high quality. Good selection of Italian wines and local beer. Love the desserts especially panna cotta and affogato. Tiramisu is also excellent.

Great Ital-American fare, with a lean to the Chicago side. They have an incredible dish (Chicago Pot Pie), which we first heard of on the Travel Channel show Pizza Paradise years ago. It's basically a deep dish upside-down cake of awesomeness, and as far as I know, Gambino's is the only place west of the windy city that makes it. Daughter and I got creamy-dreamy pasta dishes, and both were wonderful. We purposely did not do appys, and take home boxes were still required for everything. All were brought home the next day for hungry older brothers to devour. Service was excellent, and it's a darned busy place. If you go at peak dinner time, you will--without a doubt--have a wait. Gambino's is a winner, and probably still will be 50 years from now...
We stopped here for pizza. It's in the N Almon Business Center, a large warehouse type building that houses a brewery next door, the Artisan Bread store on the other side as well as nearby cookie and sausage stores. Garlic Garden is very casual with reasonable prices so would be a good place to take a family with young children. The menu is pages long, including a large variety of pizzas, sandwiches and pastas. We had the personal pizza and beverage lunch special for only $7 (includes your choice of two toppings). We're from the NY/NJ area so we're fussy about our pizza; This was OK. It's a bit thick for us but had a nice enough flavor. They don't serve wine or beer and said it's not BYOB but you can take your food next door to the brewery if you want (we were told).
