Things to do in Mornington
First time I have ordered from here was last night and it was pretty decent. I had a large BBQ bacon pizza and asked them to go easy on the BBQ sauce which they did. Tasted just as good for breakfast as well. $13.95 was pretty good value for the size and toppings.
New to Mornington and already well received by locals. Great place to relax for a drink and snacks or hot meals with wine or coffee. Flavoursome meals with a genuine Italian country touch. At last something that will survive many previous cafes that failed this location. Close to Main Street shops with plenty of parking in the car park behind. We will definitely be returning to try more delicious dishes from Il Piccolo.

Went with a group of friends. Had two large tables plus the usual smaller clients. couldn't cope with the large group. service slow, no plates, serviettes unless asked for. warm water in jugs placed on the table and no provision made for diet drinks. You need to do that for diabetics etc. Service was slow, I guess due to the numbers there, plus the pizzas were lacking in seasoning and flavour. I ordered the 5. GOATâS CHEESE= Napoli, Fior di Latte, Sweet Potato, Zucchini, Grilled Peppers, Goatâs Cheese, Basil. The base and edges were over cooked, the topping bland, couldnt find any napoli sauce and the veges not roasted. there was definitely no basil on it either. wouldn't recommend or go there again.

A fast paced, attentive and friendly staff added to a good meal of traditional Italian fare. We dropped in on the off-chance and though the place filled very quickly, we were waited on in a prompt and polite manner. The Spaghetti di mare and Rigatoni Norma were very tasty and the meal was $70 with bread and dipping oil, the two mains and two drinks.

Had breakfast there 28/1Pancakes with berries - the pancakes were dry, rubbery and flavourless. The berries in the sauce on top didnât have much freshness to them, Avocado with eggs and prosciutto- eggs good, prosciutto crisp, avo sour and toast under the avo burnt adding to the sour flavour. Service without a smile from the waitress- like she really didnât want to be there. Local family - wonât be back

We as a family of three headed back to our Mornington Favourite and amongst the three dishes we ordered was our favourite, Gnocchi Gorgonzola, OMG what a dish it is and homemade to perfection. We ordered a pizza to have with it and a couple of chinottos to wash it down with.Fantastico

DOC never disappoints for me. Iâve eaten here numerous times over the years. The pizza is of exceptional standard. The ingredients of the highest quality and base beautifully cooked. The lasagna and salads are great - do try if pizza is not your thing. The service is efficient and at times entertaining. DOC is usually busy so be prepared for a short wait and close sitting arrangements - itâs cosy and noisy itâs lots of fun!
