Quaint restaurant outside of Florence in a beautiful location. The chef personally came out and explained the menu to us. The selection was plentiful... Beef, pork, and fish for the second. The pasta selections for the first plate are unique and the combination of flavors are perfect. This a treat and a must visit while in the area.

Sunday lunch for a party of four hungry guys was excellent throughout. This is a popular local restaurant, somewhat difficult to find, but well worth the effort. The specialities are Pasta Ragu and Bistecca a la Fiorentina. With are incredible and the steak is amazing value. There is also a very good selection of antipasti and desserts. One comes our of this place well satisfied. Good ingredient and simple cooking.A good selection of local wines at very reasonable mark-ups goes well with the steak.

We went there as a family 2 nights in a row because it was so fantastic! Each night we had a version of the pasta with seafood to share (1 plate was perfect for 3 adults). It was the best seafood we had the whole trip! The second night we also had a calamari and fried anchovies appetizer that was amazingly tasty (and I normally don't like fried food). Everything is super fresh and simply, but excellently flavored! I'd recommend the panna cotta with strawberry sauce for dessert - very light and tasty. The atmosphere is very family style and you'll mostly find locals eating here. It's very popular, so expect it to be busy!! We ended up with the same waitress both nights and she was very friendly and helpful. My daughter is going through a picky phase, but they were very friendly and made a small adjustment to one of their menu items to give her exactly what she wanted. The parking lot is packed, but each night we found space in the lot just across the small street from their main parking lot.Anyone who criticizes the busy atmosphere or the parking is just being fussy. I'm extremely picky and this restaurant gets 6 stars when it comes to the food they serve!!

Pizza a lievitazione naturale su 4 tipi di impasto! Ingredienti genuini e di prima scelta... Ottimi abbinamenti sia di vini che di birre artigianali!!
We spent 6 nights in Pontassieve and we spent three of those evenings at Sandrino´s! It was crowded every night and this was in the end of October. They serve very good pizza, pasta and other food as well. The place is familyrun. The son was our waiter every time we were there. He ( and the whole family) is so serviceminded and friendly, and he speeks really good English. We finished off every dinner with a nice Aperol Spritz for the adults and icecream for the children.

I took some friends to eat in this place, which I have known for decades, and we were not disappointed. It might seem shabby looking , but its food is always great. Also, price is very reasonable.

This place is about 25 minutes from Florence but worth the driver waiter was extremely friendly and helpful, the setting outside is what eating in this region is all about, the food very good, typical italian cooking simple no fuss without complicated flavours try to fight each other, good wine selection that is reasonably priced. I gave this place a four instead of a five star because I think it is a little on the high side as far food prices go, but I feel I would be drawn back to this place if I was in the area again

I have been to Artemide with a group 10 friends for a Saturday lunch. Artemide delivered excellence from all points of view. We had a full lunch: antipasti, primi (3 types of pasta to share), secondi (meat and vegetarian dishes for some of us), dessert. All was excellently prepared. Typical Tuscan kitchen but not too obvious. The portions, though we ordered a lot of different dishes, were just right: not too much, not too little. We followed the suggestions of the waiter, who took all the necessary time to explain, advice and listen to us (while cracking funny jokes). The setting was amazing, right in the middle of the Tuscan hills with an incredible view on the green landscape. On top of that, I paid less than I was expecting. Highly recommended.

This is really a special place. Never seen such a "snack bar". Lots of creative "fast food" with excellent ingridients and low prices. They also serve Lampredotto, a local specialty. Wont tell what it is, but dare everybody to try it. Go there and check it out!

It's hard to explain how great Fake Firenze is, I'll try here but it's one of those places where you don't go just for the food and drinks, but also for the architecture, the mood, the people. Food side the owners are using high quality local products as much as possible. The offer is not overly complex, but is very refined. Menu is changed often and great preparation goes into the taste as well as the look of it. Prepare to be offered dishes that are out of the ordinary! Food is listed with 3 or 4 "suggested drink" in order to experience both at their best. Drink side you can have the run of the mill liquors, wines and cocktails, but here come two other features of Fake: on one side is the creation of a vast array of unique cocktails, breaking the monotony and opening for some new experiences. On the other side there is an extensive list of special liquors, beers and wines. if you are into trying something unique, Fake is a must stop. Last but not least, the whole place has been decorated by a famous street artist, the interiors are really special, like no other in Florence. In short, Fake is a great place for an aperitif, for a cozy dinner, to experience new beers and wines or just to eat a dessert in the afternoon chilling out. Absolutely recommended!
