We had lunch here on a Saturday and it was really nice. The service was delightful....excellent really!Food portions were size-able....thank heavens I went for only starters and a main dish. My hussy who ordered a starter, first and second dishes was unable to finish his meal. The restaurant is divided into 2 sections - an informal pizza area and a more formal dinning area. As it was a sunny day, we had our coffees out on the terrace area,,,,very nice.We recommend it any day!

she who must be obeyed ordered a fillet steak in a brandy sauce cooked medio(medium)I had a cold and hot plate of starters and spaghetti amatricana. The amatricana was dry!the steak came blue, the waitress said in italian the chef must not have flipped the steak over to cook on both sides she took it back to be cooked. What an excuse!!it returned medium one half and rare on the other half. They did not realise I understood and speak itallian so I asked did the chef work for the restaurant? or for himself?I know a local Lady who said to me later that this restaurant had started to serve poor food

We find that restaurant by chance and found it excellent. We were alone with the owner who very kindly served my wife and myself. The fresh bread with the collection of salts, peppers, and olive oils were fantastic, as was the meal, made with fresh products, super tasty! The owner is very very nice. Prices are low for what you get.Highly recommended!

We came here again and ventured outside the Da Pino pizza-world.What a mistake! My Cotoletta di Vitello alla Milanese (breaded, pan-fried veal cutlet) turned out to be tough and fried in borderline rancid oil.The restaurant was almost empty when we came in, but the waiter pretended they were all booked (false) and refused to give us a table other than the worse placed table in the entire restaurant. Lots of waiters came within inches of my head. I lived under the constant fear of having pizzas raining on my head.My companion had a steak, which was similarly tough. The side dish (contorno) was french fries (also borderline rancid and soggy)A disaster.Next time I will stick to pizza. That is in fact what the local patrons do

Our Tauck group of 21people descended on Giovanni for dinner. The cooperative and knowledgeable staff easily handled the volume. Bistecca alla Fiorentina was the top choice, but the veal chop, lamb, and veal ossobuco also received ooohs and aaahs! The portions are generous. You will not leave here hungry. The atmosphere is casual and friendly.

I took a large group of customers here, as we were staying just outside Venice. It is off the beaten track but was recommended to me. It was the best meal we had in Italy, the fillet steak was absolutely spectacular - cooked to perfection. Service great and the wine was good, they let us take some bottles away which was useful. If I stay in Venice again I'd definitely make a trip out here.

Seafood restaurant in Venice
We happened upon Ristorante Mulinello purely by chance as we were bicycling on back roads to Venice. It's not the easiest spot to find as there is no obvious blaring signage. We entered through a lovely garden with about 6 outdoor tables and were greeted with smiles immediately. Inside is a foyer with a small counter displaying all the fresh seafood caught that day. The foyer separates 2 indoor dining areas which is dimly lit to give a very romantic atmosphere. The food is off the hook!! 3 of us shared a white fish which was the catch of the day grilled to perfection and filleted at our table served up with a gracious assortment of fresh vegetables. The seafood pasta was generous, tasty, and smothered with an abundance of shelled fish. This is Italian food at it's best and as you may have noticed most reviews are by Italians with stellar comments. Ask to see the wine cellar which is a jewel. This restaurant rivals Il Mulino in NYC.

Been to this restaurant in May 2016. The place is not centerly located, but at a few minutes from the center. It was a pleasant walk admiring the beautiful villas and luxurious vegetation. The restaurant was fully booked on a Saturday evening, but we were lucky to find a table where the guests were arriving later. My mom had turkey with couscous and tzatziki sauce and I had noodles with beef and vegetables. The turkey was so tasty and well cooked. My noodles were delicious and interesting :).The service was good and prices reasonable, considering it is so near Venice. So, try it if you are in Mogliano or near. A very good restaurant, definately not the touristic kind.
