Had dinner with friends as a last minute plan. Friend found this online searching italian food in Newport. Pleasantly surprised. Everything was freshly made. Antipasto and calamari was perfect. Chicken parm and chicken francais was tender. All priced under $20. Very casual atmosphere with great service.

There were two of us; each one of us had a personal pizza. One pizza was crispy, but one pizza was burnt. It wasn't mine so I didn't say anything; however, I think the restaurant should have offered to redo the pizza or reduce the price. The crust was inedible.

Stumbled across this restaurant while looking for a place for dinner. First off - the interior is lovely, so nice inside, great relaxed ambiance. We each ordered a fun drink of their specialty drink menus (sorry now can't remember the names) and they were amazing. I had the Chicken Milanese which came topped in a huge pile of greens and tomatoes, it was one of the best dinners I've had in a long while, so great! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his lasagna. We were saying it was too bad we didn't live in the area as if we did, this would be a regular spot for us. Such a great place!

My husband had the veal Parmesan, i had Loretta pizza, and we shared chicken vegetable soup and mozzarella squares! Amazing is not the appropriate word. This is beyond the best Italian food weâve ever had! Visiting from Pennsylvania. Glad our driver from our resort recommended! He surely was on point!

Quaint, authentic atmosphere. Quiet and romantic. The butternut squash ravioli was incredible. The carbonara was the best I have ever had. Large portions so I highly recommend opting for the smaller portion for a lower price. Great that they offer that! Attentive service and overall great evening. Highly recommend.

We were sat on the left side of the restaurant. It was more on the romantic side. We werenât super hungry so we shared a salad and a pizza. They we tasty and there was also warm bread served. Great service

Noticed it while driving by on our way to another restaurant. Looked it up and realized it is a revival of a Newport landmark...Pueriniâs. They reopened as Idaâs about five years ago. The restaurant is meticulous with warm welcoming staff. The menu is vast with lots of options for sides with your entree. We chose stuffed mushrooms with sausage and fontina cheese, lasagna & Idaâs curly shrimp. For our sides we chose spinach with garlic and oil. Food was promptly served, steaming hot by Olivia our outstanding server. We will definitely return.

We looked for a pizza place near our hotel and we decided to give Carmellaâs Pizzeria a try. We were not disappointed. The pizza was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant was extremely clean and we would definitely eat here again if we find ourselves in the area in the future.
