after being disappointed by our past visits, we finally booked a table ahead a got a instant confirmation. small, cozy restaurant specializing in Pizza Napoletana. we didn't have much selection for vegetarian pizza's and we went wrong in our selections. so according to us, pizza's were average. a must try place though. famed through out Martina. As mentioned in earleir posts, we tried the Menabrea beer, which was fine.

We have been holidaying in Puglia for three years now and though I havenât completely struggled being gluten free, I have found it a little difficult to find a lot of choice, especially with pasta. This restaurant offered me any type of gluten free pasta so I chose orecchiette and it was freshly made gluten free! It was fantastic. Also most of the meat and fish dishes were available to me too. My husband and daughter equally loved it and they had normal pasta. Then we had chicken as we are a bit bored of red meat and fish but those dishes looked great too. The chicken was fresh and delicious. Best meal so far in Puglia and the service was excellent and really friendly. The table next to us had the antipasti which was never ending and looked fantastic. They had offered me this saying there were only two of the (huge number of) dishes I couldnât have. I was intent on having the fresh gluten free pasta but am eager to go back and have the antipasti. It is situated off the touristy part of martina Franca but only a few minutes walk from the main square. Highly recommended to all!

This is a very pleasant establishment some distance from the centre of Martina Franca. It offers a huge range of pizzas with many of the usual offerings along with a number of novel combinations. The restaurant is bright and appears very clean. Staff are attentive and provide a pleasant welcome to diners.

All the raw meats on sale in the shop and if you get there right on 8pm you can get a tole upstairs and eat. Meats were delicious. Bread was yummy and salad excellent too. We sat on the terrace for a lunch and a dinner and enjoyed watching the flow of local life in this lovely town. Many locals dine here for obvious reasons. The food and wine are excellent and very reasonably priced. The service is professional and Fabrizio, the owner, makes you feel that you are an important guest. Even if you were not looking at the stunning Cathedral, it would still be a great experience.(But the Cathedral in the changing light is pretty amazing).

This area has a reputation, rightly, for excellent food. This restaurant, particularly, celebrates this with style. An excellent menu, beautifully prepared and carefully explained, paired with local wines served proudly, meant that we could all enjoy beautiful home made pasta, served with delicious seafood. My favourites were the amazing tempura style vegetables (which I confess to finishing off the last morsels of the sharing plate) and the perfect pasta.Youâll certainly need to book as itâs tiny, but this is a place not to miss.

We had a wonderful lunch at Mehta. The chef, served several âAmuse Boucheâ items and a glass of sparkling Rosé before we ordered. He took a lot of time explaining the source and preparation of each dish. Being in Martina Franca, itâs unlikely they will ever win a Michelin Star, but they certainly deserve one. It was fantastico!

Restaurant Le Capase, a jewel situated in the heart of the Itria Valley, is a perfect union of tradition, creativity and innovation. Set in an historic building with the whiteness of the stones, high vaulted ceilings, but with a modern touch. It is the pe
Serving the local food but not really with any style. Ok in terms of what we paid, but wouldn't rush back. Nice interior though and friendly staff.
We found this place quite by chance, you pick the meats you want from a butcherâs style counter, they have steaks, sausages, bombettes, chicken wings and a whole host of local delicacies. They seat you in the restaurant and you can choose drinks, appetisers and side dishes for your mains. They were really helpful and friendly and this was the only place in Puglia that we visited more than once! Itâs full of locals and always busy so you know itâs going to be good and reasonably priced too.
