We visited the Old Kent Margate by chance and had a pizza there at the Mamma Mia pizzeria a pizza called the Pollo Picante with spicy tomato sauce. mozzarella cheese, chicken etc it was "great" I would recommend the Old Kent Margate and the Italian Pizza place. There is also a great really micro bar next door to the pizza place within the market. I had a pizza and a pint of real ale. A really good experience at a low price, we will visit again soon.

We live locally and had booked before but had to cancel, so we thought weâd treat ourselves to a cheeky Friday night out - just down the road and were very glad we did.The restaurant was more than full all night with groups waiting, either in the garden or outside the front until tables became available. When we arrived it was packed with families - local & visiting and then moved into a more local adult crowd. It is rustic and at times a little chaotic but I think that makes its charm. Mario and the team were delightful, welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We had the Calabrese salad to start which was simple & delicious, we then had the Forte & Funghi pizzas, which were fantastic.I can never make my mind up and we ordered our starter & then decided on mains so bumping the process a bit but that was no problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our night and will be going back soon - so glad to have a lovely fun restaurant so near by - thanks guys.Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so glad you enjoyed your time at casa and look forward to seeing you again!

We had a long-standing booking at another restaurant which let us down last minute. We managed to get a table here for six and are so pleased we did. The food was absolutely excellent and the service friendly, efficient and professional. We congratulated our waitress as the restaurant was so busy and she remembered everything we asked for. Nothing was too much trouble. The shared starters for two could have fed twice as many and every main course both looked and tasted delicious. Thank you Giorgios.

Pizza & Italian Food in the Heart of Margates Old Town. Traditional and authentic food, served in typical italian style. Busy weekends - call to book a table.
We had a delivery tonight, dreadful!! When it arrived the pizza's where all mashed into the corner of the boxes, pizza's where ok, not great, I would not have them again and we eat a lot of pizza, my wife is Italian! Had the tiramisu pudding and it was very bland I only had one mouthful and left the rest not even a slight coffee taste. My son always keeps a few slices of his pizza to have for breakfast but even he said we could throw the rest away! I do not understand why this place is so high on TripAdvisor! If you are going to eat here do not get a delivery unless you like mush, total waste of money.Hi there We apologise for the state the food arrived to you in, the food was in perfect condition when it left us so the food being smashed is down to the Deliveroo rider but we are still sorry for that as we wouldnât want anyone to have their food arrive like that. Itâs sad that you are judging how high we are on tripadvisor without visiting us in person because we believe you need to be in the right environment to enjoy it all. We make all our food with love and care as we want everything to be perfect for our customers so they have the right experience with us. So please feel welcome to come in whenever and you can see what everyone else is talking about and see you how you feel about us then. Thank you very much and we hope to see you soon.

Authentic southern Italian food, homemade fresh pasta, Italian deli, Supper Club, pasta lessons. Eat in or takeaway.
Well we didn't expect this of Margate. Fabulous, authentic, great quality Italian food in a charming restaurant. Burata - amazingTagliatelli - wonderfulTiramasu - goodCheese - wow!Plus a really interesting wine list which we devoured a bit too much).Definitey worth a visit. The only downside that rattled us a bit was the presumptive close of 'how much service/tip would you like to leave' as apparently the waitress had to add this to the card machine rather than letting us decide. We felt rather bullied into this. We'd have left at least 15% anyway but it was the way of doing it we didn't like.
