Tucked just off the bustling streets of Loana, this place was a real find. My title above pretty much sums it up. The menu has a lot of seafood but plenty of other options for non-fishy people. The seafood is predominantly Ligurian and fresh, and they have a selection of daily specials which, at least for the seafood choices the day we went, were fresh off the boat that day. And they tasted like it!! There is a good selection of well priced wines, especially the local varieties (Pigato and Vermentino are great with the seafood). This is an amazing place to visit as a family. We arrived after booking and the children's end of the table was set with colouring in bits and pieces, colourful plates, cups, napkins etc all to make it a bit more special for the kids. They have a corner inside the restaurant full of toys to keep the kids occupied, and other games and things which they can play with outside or at the table. They also have a children's menu which stretches over two pages and offers up so much more than just the pasta con ragu, hamburger or fried chicken nuggets that so many places have. The food is good enough to deserve a visit in itself, but for families, this is one of those rare places where the adults can enjoy the dining, and the kids are occupied and well catered for as well.

I'Toscanaccio is a traditional Tuscan restaurant with a contemporary flavor #chef . The restaurant has a friendly and informal atmosphere, a quality service and great convenience; ideal for a pleasant Tuscan experience.
Strange place, strange atmosphere but great meat. Not cheap and make sure you get the 20% they promise to book online. We didnât and didnât realise until later. Family of 5 with one pasta and 4 steaks for â¬190 so not cheap but the meat was cooked as well as any restaurant Iâve been to. The service was poor and a little disjointed and confused and I have never been ignored before when paying a â¬200 bill-most bizarre !Dear clivetucks,I' Toscanaccio Restaurant is a special project in which the kitchen exceed the furnishings beauty.Today, there are beautiful clubs but with a poor kitchen. The price of the steak is 45 euros and each steak is 1kg. This information is well contained in menu description. We are sorry about your disappointed service but you can be sure in each service we make our lovely best.Kind Regards.I' Toscanaccio Staff

Clearly, this is a locally popular place. A little too local for us. Other reviewers have focused on the modest prices and fresh seafood. I can't fault the quality of the calamari, potatoes and wine we had for lunch. They were all fine, but everything was monochromatic, tan-yellow, cooked competently but boringly. The luncheonette atmosphere, AM radio blaring, tiny formica type tables left much to be desired. There is a place for simple food, and the service was efficient and pleasant enough. You will avoid the kind of dishonesty you find at some places catering to tourists, but this was too bland and utilitarian for us.At this price point, perhaps one shouldn't expect more. Previous reviews remind me of the shortcomings of Tripadvisor. They just don't compute.

Booked for an evening meal with partner and six year old son who has a peanut allergy. Staff were amazing as their son had allergies. They ensured that they checked everything and served up a huge plate of calarami which defeated my son due to its size! I had veal which was cooked well and tasted amazing, partner had seafood and cleared his plate. Portions were good, local wine was tasty and service was second to none. Best limoncello I've ever tasted (and I've tasted a lot!!) Highly recommended a visit if you're in Loano.

We (family with 2 kids) had dinner here on a national holiday. They had a limited menu for this special day, but due to the good reviews we were hopefull. The waitor explained the Italian menu in English and we ordered. We had the local speciality: lingiuni with prawns, pesto an lemon. One word: Wow!! Very good taste, fresh and pasta like we have never had before. Also nice attention to the kids. We immediately booked for the next day. :)

We found this place on TripAdvisor. Many locals seems to eat here. A lovely place. A quite loud restaurant with great service. Great pizzas. I ate a âPanouzziâ, a kind of big double pizza sandwich - a superb meal. I am fastidious and found this meal perfect. Donât miss this place!

This was our second visit to Gein and it wonât be our last! This is a family run restaurant and they are delightful. The food was excellently prepared and presented with passion. Catering for someone who cannot eat any member of the onion family (always a test of a good restaurant) was no problem at all! The Chef personally recommended dishes to us and they were excellent. Very good local produce that tasted great!

A small restaurant located in the middle of the historic center of Albenga. It has a large dehoor in the summer. Suitable for those who want to rediscover the flavors of the Ligurian cuisine of the past and to lovers of Gourmet pizza: Light and crunchy do
The place is simple and located in a nice square of the of the beautiful old town of albenga. We went for dinner and the restaurant was full. We booked in advance and were allocated a table at 5cm from the entrance door. Very unpleasant as each time some one enters, the wind hurts you. We were not yet served and a table in the centre of the restaurant became available. We asked to move and the answer was âno, we are fullâ. What?!? We booked as well and you are forcing us to stay in a freezy table...the food was ok but nothing extraordinary. But once you eat in uncomfortable situations and the attitude is so âLigurianâ...that does not matter. There are so many places around....
