Our hotel recommended this as a place that was easily walk-able from the Rossio Square area, with vegetarian options. It definitely exceeded our expectations, especially after a less than average meal in the many places that cater to tourists near Rossio. This is Italian food, by an Italian chef, served by Italian waiters who actually seem to enjoy interacting with you! My husband was delighted with the 'Arrosticini' which is various types of meat on skewers. I adored the elegant miniature Eggplant Parmesan as an appetizer, and wished they would make it as an entree.Even the house red wine was quite acceptable. We went back a second night, and tried all new things, and these were also quite good, including homemade pesto pasta and a delicious tiramisu dessert. We were surprised by how little the total bill was, for such an elegant dinner.Ciao bella!

Delicious artisan Italian pizza using only natural and organic ingredients sourced locally or flown from Italy.
Visited this place having searched TripAdvisor for a good spot for pizza and loved the place. Really good service and wonderful pies - beautiful fresh toppings many added after the pizza is cooked. Good bottle of wine, tiramisu shared and coffees to finish. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Bill â¬60 for the two of us - all good. Hard to find but stick with it - would strongly recommend.

we came for early dinner and were promptly seated. the staff speak English and were able to advise on the menu. we ordered buttered chicken and onion bajis which were yummy and a good option for the kids who don't eat any spice. The Dal makhani was delicious as well with garlic Naan. The lamb biryani was on the spicy side even though it's mild and i expected the lamb to be softer. i advise to order it with chicken instead. We all ate well and found this restaurant to be good value for money. we would be regulars if we lived in Lisbon.

Starters, mains, soups and desserts: all with mushrooms! The food is inspired by different places, with an Italian hint.
We ended up here on our final night in Lisbon and wish we had found it earlier. It's located in a cool area of Graca near the Alfama area of Lisbon. The restaurant is in an old flea market building on the second level with some nice windows that look out onto a square. The atmosphere within the restaurant is awesome with maybe 10 or 15 tables and a selection of old records being played while you dine. Decor is quite quaint and funky, but makes for a wonderful meal.We ordered the local bread with mushroom pate to start which was outrageously delicious. Then for our mains my wife had artichoke and mushroom pasta and I had the pork cheeks. They were both phenomenal, wonderful presentation and delightful flavours. We finished with the mushroom ice cream for dessert which was also quite tasty and very playful. All in all an excellent meal that you will not want to miss while in Lisbon. The servers are also wonderfully friendly. And for top level food we paid only bout $50 euros total. Well worth it.

´´Best home made pasta in lisbon´´Revew in TIMEOUT
We had heard such good about this venue while in Lisbon, and the chatter was very well deserved. The combination food shop/restaurant features authentic ingredients and preparation with exceptional value for the euro/dollar. Our dinner with covers and a bottle of wine came to ~ â¬76, less than $85 at the present rate. The service is excellent (kudos to Valentin & Prakash) and the ambience is variably calm or boisterous, kind of like being with close friends or your large family.A word of advice: Reserve ahead using Il Mercatoâs web page service. The restaurant is popular and gets busy at the later hours common to most European dining. We reserved about 2 hours ahead for 7:45pm and were seated immediately. Dear Tim,Thank you so much for your review and your genuine personal opinion regarding our products, foods, and services that we serve here at Il Mercato. We appreciate you so much for highly recommending us and also for the kudos to our very professional and friendly staffs.Looking forward to seeing you soon again.Best regards,Chef Tanka Sapkota.

Praise there is aplenty for Come Prima, one of Lisbons best-loved traditional Italian restaurants. Being a bit tucked away on Rua Olival, an easy walk from the romantic Tapada das Necessidades gardens, is part of the restaurants considerable charm.
I at here twice - the first lunch with a friend 2 days before my departure, the second dinner with 4 friends the day before my departure. Food was wonderful, service was amazing, wines were superb! I had wanted whole roasted garlic, which was not on the menu, but the chef graciously made some for me and they were the best i ever had. At dinner the following night, I introduced my friends to the whole roasted garlic, which again the chef made for me - and everyone was awed. One of the best restaurans for service and the food was amazing. Looking forward to eating here again.Dear Sir/Ma'am, It was our honor to have you at Come Prima, several times just within your very short stay in Lisbon. Thank you so much for visiting and loving us. We are looking forward to seeing you soon again. Kind regards, Chef Tanka Sapkota.
