Novaro's Italian Restaurant is located in the heart of Launceston. The intimate 32 seat restaurant has been established for 21 years.
Lovely ambience, however the seating is such that there is little room between tables. We opted for a main and dessert- I had the flat head fillets and my partner had the duck ravioli- both were very good. For dessert I had the gelato and my partner had the pannacotta both were excellent.Dear yvc129,Thank you so much for taking the time to review Novaro's Restaurant. We are pleased you enjoyed your evening and look forward to your return visit.Kind regards,Sarah and Kathleen

Reserved a table, sat down, 30 minutes later someone finally came with a menu. Main was great. Organised a dessert menu, waited 20 minutes, no service. So got up and left. What a shame. Won't hurry back there. If you want service, you are better off going to Bunnings!!!

Great atmosphere and authentic music, but that's where it ends. Pizza was sloppy and unappetising and the same with the pasta meal ordered. Very disappointing, we were really looking forward to enjoying a great meal. This was very average.

Our first choice was booked solid so round the corner we went and had a beautiful underpriced breakfast consisting of poached eggs on sourdough with a very generous side of smoked salmon and two lattes.Used my union card so received 20% off.Two things single shot small coffee had flavour but a little weak and could improve on sourdough bread.

Quick Eats: Our pasta and sauces are made fresh daily - our aim is delicious, healthy, affordable 'fast food'. All our meals are available to eat in, take away (hot to go) or heat at home at your convenience.
This place seems pretty busy but most people have the food takeaway and I think I know why! When you microwave pasta it just doesnât taste that good! And the staff brought out fettuccine boscaiola, they said it came with red sauce! First time ever it hasnt come out with white sauce! The waitress tried to convince us that red sauce is the norm but unfortunately we know betterThe term âboscaiolaâ literally means woodcutterâs wife and the dish is called this because it is she who would supposedly collect the mushrooms for this dish. Our Italian Chef and Manager is aware that adding tomato to the dish is not traditional but as it is listed in the dish description on our menu did not consider it an issue. Had you requested your meal to be the traditional version we certainly could have done that for you.I would suggest that you read dish descriptions closely if you want to avoid this type of issue - and being that you have now left us at least 3 x 1star reviews, it is obviously something that you care deeply about.
