I live within a short walk of @Tipico and as such, was delighted to see when they opened. The owners seemed to have done everything to esthetically make the place look nice, including, what appears to be, a clean place. (This is not always a standard in Tunisia). My first time there was several months ago and we ordered pasta and salads for "take out". When we got home (a 5 minute walk), we were quite surprised at the meager portions. In terms of taste, there was also nothing special. We felt that this is just one more such restaurant that has the "bells" but not the ingredients. Some friends mentioned the restaurant to us last week as one which they enjoy for pasta. So, we felt it deserved another try. We ordered takeout last week... their "Marinara" Insalatone (see photo below). 14.8Tunisian dinars (about $9.50) is a lot for a salad in Tunisia, but given that the menu described "crevettes" and "calamar" and "basil", it sounded like perhaps they were trying to make things special. It it was a bountiful salad with good ingredients, it would be well with the price. We opened the salad at home and were shocked to see what was primarily lettuce, a few tiny briny shrimp, virtually no calamari and certainly, not the slightest bit of basil. The dressing was heavily oil and little else! Our first impulse was to walk back and tell them, but it was not even worth doing. A meager salad with even more meager ingredients, if they were not already aware of their own shortcomings, it was not worth our walking back to inform them. Thus the reason I am taking the time to write this review. Only because we would like to see @Tipico succeed, as with all new restaurants that open in Tunisia. Restaurants, @Tipico and others, need to hear the truth. Thus the reason I take the time to review restaurants and hotels, not only in Tunisia, but throughout my international travels. Unless proprietors can raise their standards, offer good food and good value, they will be just one more in the many mediocre restaurants in the region. The nice esthetics of the restaurant cannot make up for "average". We hope they see this review and hope it inspires them to make a true effort to offer a better product.

Basile offers a wide choice of gastronomic pizzas, made with fresh and quality products. Portions and individual pizzas. Take away and delivery. 28,330,331 or 56,220,000
If you're craving a pizza that is well baked with top ingredients then there is only one address - Basile. Their pizzas are rectangular in shape and either classical or specialty in nature. Their La Tomate is delicious even though the dried rosemary sprigs can be a bit annoying, and from their specialty pizzas the Reblochon is great. Their potato and minced meat pizza is good, although i did not like the texture of the potatoes - they were a bit gooey. The service is prompt and professional.

This tiny restaurant right next to the parking lot is typically packed with young people and families, taking their time over pizza of all kinds, featuring in particular fish intermixed with meats and olives and what nots. You wouldn't find these combinations anywhere but in Tunisia. The staff has a great time chatting it up with the patrons, and the entire place has a happy vibe to it.

We came around 11am and there was a short queue because this place is quite small but many visitors. No doubt, nice atmosphere, good and (most) healthy foods and drinks. Definitely we will come back again :) good for breakfast and brunch !!!

I had dinner here with my family in May 2014, because I remembered the cosy and welcoming garden that I had seen a few times. Well, the food was really bad unfortunately. The sauce on the paste was probably ketchup. The bruschetta they served was really disappointing, too. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Restaurant qui propose dans sa carte des pâtes et des salades Méditerranéennes avec des spécialités propres, ainsi que des sushis classiques dans un endroit convivial.
-Space too small for japenese and italian concept resto.-Sushi/rolls/maki are delicious but too small and very expensive comparing to other Japanese restaurant in Tunis-No free soja sauce on table-seeing the number of stars he have , it doesn't seem a restaurant that everyone like -Must revisit the price and quatity and being more generous -Come back again will be the last choice I do for this restaurant

New and old style combined together. Our aim is to provide the nicest food possible with variety every week. Our famous blackboards change everyday, so you will never be bored of our menu.
Welcoming staff, great views and a citron sorbet that is simply refreshing. Ignore the ground level restaurants and climb the stairway, past images of past eminent diners, to simply relax. A menu that combines French and Tunisian cuisine for the enjoyment of food. Do take time to look at the photos of previous diners on the wall e.g. Sen. John McCain and Claudia Cardinale.

Great fresh Italian food: Fresh pasta, vongole (small clams), saltimbocca. vitello tonato, burrata, fabulous homemade desserts (tiramisu, capri chocolate cake). Husband/wife team. Owner/chef/ manager husband very nice, personable man. Very reasonable prices. No alcohol, but worth it regardless.
