I have mixed views on this Kokkari restaurant. First of all, is it the Rosmarino or is it Taverna Nirefs? The position is superb, sitting high above the beach (near the Sunrise Hotel), quiet location, beautiful sunsets, very romantic. Great fresh food. So much going for it. Downside? The owner, at least maybe she was the owner, not Greek, perhaps German? On the face of it she seemed okay, a bit false and over the top, but preferred to mingle with those she knew and ignore others. We visited twice because we did like the food and the location. Front of house, however, was not nice - and she didn't treat her staff very well either. So, is it Rosmarino or Taverna Nirefs?

If you dont choose the most expensive from the menu - you been treated as you order and when we want too see the winelist (no winelist in our menu) she asked "what do you want"?? and we told her to bring the winelist! :( and they tried to keep the change by "forgotten" but we asked for it and it took time to get it, there are plenty of restaurants in Kookari - dont go here - the food was only average like a ordinary lunch meal.

Definitely recommended. We ate octopus carpaccio, calzone pizza and a dessert which is made from baked peach in red wine and ice cream. All of them was very delicious. Their white wine "Samosa" is a dry wine which tastes very good. Interior and outerior design was stylish, music was nice and service was wonderful. Waiters and waitresses were very friendly.

The 4 of us dined here last night and enjoyed the ambience. Unfortunately the tables by the water were taken and we had to settle for 3 tables back, still outside. We enjoyed our Cheese Focaccia appy (more like white pizza than what North Americans are used to than focaccia). My Penne Firenze was very good and the others enjoyed their Penne, Chicken Ravioli and Salmon Pasta. With a bottle of French Red wine, our total bill was 96â¬. We received a complimentary caramel brûlée for our patience as they took their time in getting us our bill from the time we asked for it. We enjoyed our last dinner in Samos!

Visited Moscato on the recommendation of a friend. And it lived up to it. Run by an Australian family originally from Kokkari, the food was delicious and plentiful. And the service was attentive but not over the top. The location was superb, at the end of a strip of restaurants along the little port of Kokkari. Highly recommend!

We visited the restaurant without preliminary plans. It is located on the main village road so we had a spontaneous idea to pop in the check the pizza. The restaurant offers beautiful veranda just on the beach. Pizza came fast and was delicious. Then we tried desserts too. All was excellent. The restaurant menu shows great variety of Italian food. It offers also an attractive beer menu, only for connoisseurs!There is lots of the food and drinks menu we wish to try, so we will visit again.
