Discover Restaurants offering the best Italian food in Kaunas, Kaunas County, Lithuania. Kaunas (/ˈkaʊnəs/; Lithuanian: [ˈkɐʊˑnɐs] ( listen); also see other names) is the second-largest city in Lithuania and has historically been a leading centre of Lithuanian economic, academic, and cultural life. Kaunas was the biggest city and the centre of a county in Trakai Municipality of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania since 1413. In the Russian Empire, it was the capital of the Kaunas Governorate from 1843 to 1915. It served as temporary capital of Lithuania during the interwar period, while the traditional capital of Vilnius was part of Poland between 1920 and 1939. During that period Kaunas has been nicknamed the Little Paris because of rich cultural and academic life, fashion, construction of countless Art Deco, Lithuanian National Romanticism architectural style buildings as well as popular furniture, interior design of the time and widespread café culture. The city interwar architecture is regarded as one of the finest examples of the European Art Deco and received the European Heritage Label, it also resulted in naming Kaunas the first city in Central and Eastern Europe as a UNESCO City of Design. In 2022, Kaunas will be the European Capital of Culture, together with the Luxembourgish city of Esch-sur-Alzette.

A cozy atmosphere and lovely restaurant with excellent and high quality, responsibly prepared food, as well as the excellent service will allow you to enjoy it - 100%. * Woodshed baked pizza * By natural charcoal-fired ceramic grill
Tasted Margarita and pizza with shrimps. As one week before I spend in Italy, I can tell that it is very close to true taste. One think missing and I will come back to try is fresh tomatoes which is used in pizza toping. Food was well served, warm. One pizza slice had burnt corner but it is in acceptable scale. Definitely will return and update review I hope to 5/5 now 4/5.

In Italy, locals appreciate the quality food,so they avoiding tourist places and choosing smaller restaurants. The small, cozy, hidden and quality food places in Italy are called "al Cantuccio" (corner). We inviting you to experience in Kaunas, a small, c
During the ten days I spent in Kaunas I ate here four times. The atmosphere in this small restaurant, which has an outdoor terrace, is intimate and relaxing (music: mellow versions of pop classics). Staff serving is friendly; attentiveness depends on who is on duty that night.I only ate risotto's there; my favourite is the risotto ai porcini. The burrata is an excellent starter. Highly recommended.

We are proud to have one of the few wood-fired pizza ovens in Kaunas. While using the oak tree wood, the cooking temperature increases above 400° which is essential to cook good pizza. Furthermore we can offer italian and european cousine, coffee, beverag

Lately, I'm lucky to have a good restaurant :-) And this Tratoria is among them.Again, if in Italian restaurants (in generally) outside Italy come the Italians, it will be good :-) ... like here.Do not forget to book a table. If you arrive at 5 o'clock then OK. But after 6 o'clock it is already full. The service is very professional even though I would welcome a little more warmth. And food? Well, perfect !!I must say that this Italian Tratoria is one of the few outside of Italy, which is really an Italian :-))

This review has been written after a bunch of visits in this place.. each time expecting that it can not be that good.. something should go wrong.. but i have to admit- place delivers really good food..1. Location: not in old town.. thus parking is available.. i had no issues to park the car. Parking: available (free of charge). Place itself is in old house, well reconstructed.. lot of interesting things to observe.. 2. Type of the place, Food: EUROPEAN... this is a place for a quick lunch or for longer stay. You will find several beer sorts, wines and some strong drinks. Size: 20+ tables which makes mid size restaurant (with outdoor terrace).3.Service: usually it is 3 waiters, 1 at the bar and several in the kitchen.. good in english...4. Prices: average in Lithuaninan standards, Average- in European standard...5. FOOD Quality and portions: everything fresh and made without any compromises.. either it is lunch meals or from meniu..My recommendation would be to rely on the waiter as regards LUNCH..6. INTERIOR: i made several photos.... there are some very fine elements worth of attention.. 7. Clean or not? Yes, this place is clean.. theoretically could be cleaner, but I would say sufficient. WC in a good shape..8. Value: 9 out of 10... for those who clearly knows the purpose of the visit, like lunch.. You can clearly count to spent up to 10Euros for lunch which is very reasonable price level. 9. TIPS: - you should try to get the table near the bar or in terrace.. 2nd floor is also of interest.- meals: i liked cold soups, vegetarian food, pastas are also very well prepared..

Really good local pizza, without any of the rampant pretense of pseudo-Italian or American style so popular in Lithuania. These folks aren't pretending to be something they aren't. It's local pizza, very local and made in typical Lithuanian style with tons of toppings. Except it's delicious! It's not like some big brand slop which won't be named, but really tasty pizza with big portion sizes and quick service. The thickness of the pizza isn't paper thin either! Big win for the local market.Thank you very much!â¤ï¸

Jurgis and Drakonas brings their style of casual, family restaurant to Kaunas. Serving the finest neapolitan pizza, made with authentic Italian ingredients and cooked by skilled chefs in a traditional Neapolitan brick oven. The food is accompanied by fres
I love the fact that this is a family restaurant, there are not many such restaurants in Kaunas. Also, the patience of the waitresses was made of steel. The cellar was nicely done with a playroom, preoccupying kids, and it was nice to sit and chat with friends, despite a slight odor from the restrooms. However, first and foremost this is a restaurant, and we come here for food (Although if there was no playroom, we would have never chosen this place.) This review will be entirely about food, as other things were top-notch. I knew it was a pizzeria, but I have not ordered them, and maybe it was my mistake, and I would not be surprised if many come there just for pizzas. We ordered food so it would fit the kid's taste, and since they were small, we avoided pizzas. I ordered dumplings for my kids and my husband adult dumplings for himself. Guess what, the adult dumplings were basically the same as kids', only a few broccoli was on top of it. The taste suggested they're not homemade, and the price was much higher than the kid's dumplings. Since the kids, who usually loved them, now didn't even touch them, I ordered these curd thingies with jam, I don't know how to call in English. Again, the price did not match the size and the ingredients used in the meal. Sadly, there was not much choice from the menu, besides pizzas. All in all, we paid 30 euros and left hungry, and not even happy about the food we had.
