The staff and management are so friendly and welcoming. The service is indredible and quick even though it was really busy. The food is of high quality, freshest ingredients and tasty. We had the haloumi and Greek salad starters, mains were peri peri prawns, the lamb chops, and souvlaki. The cocktails are great as well. The baklava cheese cake is heavenly. A supurb family restaurant. A must try for authentic Greek food. 10/10.

New to Johannesburg and friends suggested we should go for lunch. Short and sweet - the food was excellent. The olive and artichoke tapenade with bread was wow. Mains was so nicely prepared and tastefull. Negative - no aircon and in South Africa with global warming. It gets so warm the sweat is running down your legs. When we asked for fan because only selected customers get the previlage of fans. Owner said aircon is in process and we gave positive feedback she rudely turn around in middle of conversation.... I would say that is having no manners. It is sad because food excellent but think Everyone has the right to be treated as a human being.....

Food was better than average for lunch, but the service was super slow. Nice ambiance though for a lunch or dinner

Set in the hub of the Rosebank CBD is Doppio Zero's flagship restaurant. Located in in the exclusive open air piazza at The Firs, this popular eatery is well frequented for business lunches, casual dinners and weekend getaways.
I walked around the Firs looking in at all the restaurants and I immediately noticed the alert, interactive watrons and a lovely ambiance.I'm glad I chose to eat at Doppios Zero, the staff are friendly, helpful and assertive, When you ask for advice, they give it boldly- KUDOS!they know their menu and they keep their eye on you without being intrusive- KUDOS!Maybe many others also offer excellent food, but its the experience overall that counts in points. My pasta dish was very hot, on a hot plate, as pasta must be and the advice on choice from my watron Collen, was 100% spot on.I could see most patrons were also really enjoying the evening- the food, service, company- ambiance.

A cold and rainy night in Johannesburg? Easily rectified by a visit to the local Italian restaurant in Craighall, Pronto, for some hearty and delicious pasta. This firm favourite deserves its place as one of our go-to restaurants. Consistent quality and excellent service explain the full tables every night. We chose Linguine; Dolce Latte for him, and chicken with spinach, rocket and pine nuts for me. Both were creamy, flavorful and delicious. A ricotta salad completed the feast. A most enjoyable evening, delicious dinner and great service. Hey there. A huge thank you for your beautiful review and patronage. We so appreciate your positive feedback and look forward to sharing your kind words with the whole team. Happy dining and we look forward to hosting you again soon.

Casalingaâs deliciously authentic food has established us as one of Gautengâs leading restaurants. Down the years, weâve received many awards and accolades, including âBest Sunday Lunchâ and âMost Romantic Restaurantâ. The Casalinga dining experience is a
Today was my third visit to Casalinga in 20 years. They are nothing if not consistent - every meal reminded me of school canteen food. The starter, fish soup, did not taste fresh. The fish was overcooked and dry. The main course, fillet steak ordered medium rare, was ice cold in the centre and dry and tough on the outside. I did not even taste the dessert - supposedly a pavlova. In my book pavlova consists of crisp meringue with a chewy centre, topped with cream and (preferably) fresh fruit. I was presented with weeping beaten egg white (proof it wasnât remotely fresh), topped with something that may have been artificial cream (it looked too white to be real, but who knows?) and a mixture of wilted and cooked fruit. It was difficult to thank our host with a straight face. And the service? Inconsistent, but generally too many people interrupting too often. There are better places for a Sunday lunch. Hi there Claude,Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on this platform. Please could i contact you directly. Could you send me your contact number? The nice outdoor area welcomed us with some late afternoon sun - as tourists we like this as many places value shade. Staff were helpful with the wine choice and later we had a pizza which was fine but not special.

Unusually, Francoâs doesnât charge corkage on the first bottle of wine you bring. Isnât that nice! This cosy restaurant has good food at plain prices, a lovely homely atmosphere, no pretentions and pleasant, ordinary, unfussy South African service. Nothing special, just a hearty enjoyable meal in lovely company at a reasonable price. What more could you want.

Always a treat. Arguably Joburg's finest Italian-inspired eatery, serving classic Italian dishes, some with a local flair, and a few other international fine-dining offerings. The risotto is an absolute triumph, as is the gnocchi. The Porcini chicken with pea risotto as a Secondi will rival the quality of any Tuscan Michelin-star offering, and the roasted butternut ravioli with Porcini-Truffle cream and candied walnuts is perfection personified. Desserts are inspirational. The pavlova is incredibly special, as is the Salted Caramel Brûlée with popcorn Gelato. Expect fine dining, beautiful decor, prices that are slightly higher than the norm (although very reasonable if one considers the serving sizes and the quality), impeccable service and a fantastic wine list and drinks menu, with reasonably priced cocktails. This is a top-class establishment serving only the finest of Italian pastas, meats, seafood, desserts and drinks. Not only one of Joburg's finest, but one of the finest Italian eateries South Africa has to offer. Café Del Sol Classico is an institution. You will leave with a smile on your face and an even bigger smile in your belly. Hello BradWow.
