I speak no Japanese and they speak no English and you know what, it didn't matter; in fact it made it better. The Chef came out and we managed to agree on a pasta dish and a beer and it tasted great. The bread that came out as a side was truest delicious (best I've had since Vietnam).

I was in Ito City for vacation and we found this restaurant coincidentally while walking in the shopping arcade street. The food was reasonably priced and the portions were generous. I was glad to have lasagna, not an easy find in Japan.
Visit Ito! Cute Onsen town with so much small town charm! Stop by this little Italian caffe and enjoy a little aperitivo, caffè, gelato, creme caramel, pizza or a nice morning breakfast set. Friendly staff, awesome selection of Limoncello, Grappa, vino. Nice little hangout in the shopping arcade by the station. Visit the tourism info across the way and the stationary store next door, too :)

We made a late visit to this charming restaurant. They only have the menu in Japanese, but the chef spoke very good English and we ordered pasta and pizzas. The pizzas were small but absolutely delicious, and the pasta Bolognese was incredibly tasty. Well worth a visit!
In Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, it is a restaurant where you can easily enjoy authentic Italian home cooking, delicious wine and coffee!Regular holiday: Holidays, New Year holidays.
The Italian food here is excellent. Menu is a continuously changing seasonal blackboard menu with a wide variety of outstanding dishes.Entrees included a sardine "cake", white beans and black cabbage, stuffed spicy tomatoes, and pasta is offered with a variety of sauces. For main course the meat dishes are great. The grilled lamb was the most tender I have ever eaten and the perfectly cooked beef steak so large we had to share it between two. My tripe loving sister noticed the chef preparing some for dinner when we were there for lunch some months ago on a previous visit to Japan and last night was able to enjoy some in a spicy tomato sauce. Best ever she said.If you can manage dessert you won't be disappointed. We had only one slice of the tart on offer between us, but would have liked to try some of the other things we saw customers enjoying. The Italian house red wine was good and there were several others on offer by the bottle. Great coffee finished off the meal. There is one chef and one waiter in the small restaurant, seating only about 15 diners so best to book ahead for dinner. Lunch has a more limited menu with several options for a set lunch. The panini set and the pasta set were generous and delicious.A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

the restaurant is facing the 21th century art museum.I'm so glad to randomly find it after my museum visit.restaurant is a nice white western style villa, with a sun deck outside for coffee and smoking.I and friend had a lunch there, my dish is red wind beef with rice which is the best ever this dish I have ever had.the lunch set including appetizer, salad, beverage, main course and dessert, only cost about 1300YAN/per, very reasonable.just love the food and atmosphere of this place. would recommend to any friend.
